    Pros

Good team and work environment. Overall I can see some growth for me. But the company pace is very slow. Management has to be aggressive.

    Cons

Company is not fast paced. I am a software engineer and found that management is not very aggressive. Compensation-wise its below average. Culture is not very relaxed. I would like to see shorts in summer time but people here use only business casuals.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Be more aggressive.

    Pros

Good benefits and life balance. One of a handful of companies that actually embrace telecommuting.

    Cons

Lack of proper training at most job levels. Not many opportunities for advancement nor is there any loyalty shows to employees. Merit increases are ridiculously low.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have more faith in your employees. For the most part, they are well educated, dedicated employees. Treat them as such.

    Pros

    Mostly good people.

    Good benefits.

    Good products.

    Cons

Certain departments are not given training or sufficient resources, then they're over staffed to compensate for those deficits.

Silo mentality (not as bad as it was).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I've seen improvements, so I encourage them to keep that trajectory.

    Pros

Good salary and benefits. Flexible work environment. The quality of personal across the company is good . Excellent team work.

    Cons

Quantum has not recovered from the recession. Layoffs have been the norm for the last five years. Management cannot jump start sales and cost cutting has become the way to improve the bottom line.

    Pros

Fellow employees are very nice to work with. Very interested in helping get stuff done and resolve issues.

    Cons

Management needs focus. Focus on how to keep employees happy and motivated. Focus on how to provide competitive products at competitive prices.

Former Employee - Mid-Level Manager in Colorado Springs, CO

    Pros

Good work environment, friendly employees, great benefits

    Cons

Layoffs lurking at every corner, managers and executives not held accountable for bad decisions, CEO with over-inflated ego. All adds up to poor stock performance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give departments reasonable budgets. Too many are operating without the necessities and without the manpower to do the work. When cutting costs, look at areas other than the workforce. Employees find it hard to stay loyal when there is a constant slow bleed due to layoffs. The ones who remain are burdened with duties that are not in their job descriptions and are overloaded in general.

Former Employee - OEM Customer Support in Colorado Springs, CO

    Pros

Employees treated as professionals, good benefits, flexible schedule, reliable products, well-documented processes and procedures, excellent low- and mid-level managers who care.

    Cons

Customers became the enemy after Quantum acquired ADIC. Quantum's culture and dedication to being a world-class organization evaporated as well. Solid, experienced professionals who (rightfully) commanded higher salaries were replaced by younger, cheaper, inexperienced, and often clueless workers. Executive management lacks vision and has little regard for customer relationships.

Former Employee - Regional Sales Manager
Former Employee - Regional Sales Manager

    Pros

Good pay, nice people, good technology and product

    Cons

Some poor market decisions have led to a lot of layoffs to protect themselves on wall street. Not much for training either. Everything is done on your own online with no help otherwise than being thrown to the wolves.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Develop the training program. Make it a structured, classroom environment. Increase people on the street in major metro areas and condense the area your regional managers are covering. Adding qualified, well trained people to the field will allow them to penetrate under performing areas of the country.
