    Everything The very worst of Corporate America. If you are happy just being a number Quest is for you. management at least in the department I worked was very self-centered and only interested in how they could better their status Impossible to get a straight answer on anything. Would just tell you what they thought you wanted to hear .

    The home office in N J needs to clean house.

    Pros

    When we speak about Pros we refer to something that will have or has a positive outcome or is good for someone. Quest believes that providing people with work is considered pros and so do employees. Well, actually, you can say the only pros Quest has to offer is, giving you a job. But not to everyone is having a job at Quest a Pro. Many people, not just some employees, believe that Quest has "Great" benefits, when in reality, Quest offers one of the worst benefit packages in the industry and becoming worse year after year. Only those will little knowledge of what real benefits are and what a True fortune 500 company is, will understand that Quest is neither a fortune 500 company and its benefits are nothing but the least that money can buy. Quest benefits, I can make the following analogy: Its like either just having PIP insurance coverage as to having Full coverage on your vehicle. Quest is the PIP.

    As to office culture and company values, there is no pros there either. Quest preaches the importance of ethics and values and always talking about compliance and having training etc. Quest feeds you by the shovels full about integrity, yet they allow and have upper managers working for them who have no idea what the meaning of integrity is. Directors and managers, whom alone or together lie and falsify statements and fabricate situations to impose their power against someone. The sad situation here is, that Human Resources, is also responsible for backing them up and believing their fabricated stories just because they are upper management and/or Directors and they can do no wrong. In other words and simply put for those of you out there whose IQ is in the negative range, if some one drops a specimen and it was not you, but the director or manager have something against you or simply do not like your nationality, they will swear they saw you drop it and HR will believe them.

    Cons

    Working at Quest itself is a health hazard, both mentally and physically. Quest's fear of law suits regarding racial discrimination has in turn created a reverse discrimination environment. Meaning, a certain racial group have been allowed to get away with whatever behavior they exhibit, bad or good or improper, only because of the LAW SUIT fear. This particular ethnic group is aware of this, so in turn, they discriminate and mistreat other groups in the organization and get away with it. If you decide to file a complaint with HR one of two things will happen if not both: 1. It will fall on deaf ears, 2. HR will notify the party you are complaining about and get ready for RETALIATION. Those who pose positive feedback only do so for a couple of reasons, they are either part of the "POSEE", or they have never worked for a real company.

    Pros

    Medical benefits are good.
    The 401k looks nice, too bad I don't get paid enough to have money to spare to buy in.

    Cons

    No Human Resources (moved that department to another state)
    Downsizing and outsourcing
    Awful Communication
    Middle Management that is hostile to longterm employees under them, will not take suggestions, and accuse you of complaining when you dare to offer advice contrary to what middle management is doing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Stop outsourcing to outside courier services, take a close look at your hostile belligerent middle management that does not listen to the employees under them and have been complained about for years to the HR department, until you moved them to another state making them impossible to get in contact with.

    Pros

    Jos is a very short commute. Five pairs of scrubs are provided for free every year. Food is usually provided at staff meetings. Benefits provided are comparable to other local employers.

    Cons

    local management bends company rules and blatantly ignores company value. Management Retaliation is rampant if one stand up for employee rights. Bullying and harassment is allowed and ignored when reported. The constant need to reduce costs and increase profits results in a trickle down stressful work environment.

    Would it be adventurous to maintain well trained current employees rather than have a revolving door culture

    Glad I no longer work there.

    Cons

    Poor management. Employees are treated like imbeciles and without respect. Upper management only cares about lining their pockets and are a bunch of immoral human beings!

    One of the worst companies I have ever worked for!!

    Industry leader with most of the market share

    Cons

    IT scared for their jobs. IT will be totally outsourced soon. IT management lack management experience and blame direct reports instead of taking responsibility. CEO lacks ideas and is driven by outside consultants for direction. Corporate admin types do not know or understand core business.

    Retire and give the reins to others more innovative.

    Pros

    When I started back in 2002 the company was a great company to work for great incentives with above average goal sharing bonuses. Good work environment! Great People.

    Cons

    Got hurt at work and went through the Workman's Compensation Process. Company did not offer me employment after coming back from Workman's Compensation injury. Company does not take care of good employees to much turnover ratio. Benefits not that good! Quest Diagnostics should staff Patient Service Centers with more employees not enough pay for the amount of work that you do. Company goal sharing was eliminated Fall of 2013. I would not recommend anyone to work there.

    Management needs to address the issue of staffing Patient Service Centers with more employees. One person running a Patient Service Center is unacceptable. Managers should visit the Patient Service Centers more often and eliminate Patient Wait Time survey's it does not work when you work by yourself!

    Pros

    Good pay and benefits insurance is decent

    Cons

    Poor upper Management no advancement available poor communication from management now that quest bought Solstas they are closing sites and not giving employees options comparable to what their previous site was. Employees are being forced to drive hours to keep their job. They are forcing people to quit because they have nowhere to put them they are trying to get out of paying unemployment to those employees. Work/life balance is out of the question. They are always short staffed and have no coverage for you when you need a day off for your kids.

    Leave and find a new job in a field that is better suited for you because most of you could care less about the employees under you.
