    Pros

    Large company with great benefits.

    Cons

3 reorgs from the top dpwn in under 3 years. Huge departmental cuts leads to a lack of stability and a bad vibe.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your front line employees. They are the ones running the company.

    Pros

Above average vacation and benefits. Free yearly health and wellness screenings. Tuition reimbursement and online training courses. Most the employees care about the work.

    Cons

Poor compensation. Constant reorganizations and downsizing in the IT division. Leadership talks about values and transparency but does not back up the talk.

    Advice to Management

Get and cultivate competent management that has a vision for the future instead of always looking at the short term outlook.

    Pros

Good benefits for employees and families.

    Cons

Employees are treated like criminals if there is a complaint instead of investigating allegations before making decisions.

    Advice to Management

Verify allegations. Not all complaints are true.

    Pros

401K 5% match, secure building, decent vacation time accrual. I used to like working here

    Cons

Poor morale, lower than average pay, difficult to advance, it's all about who you know to succeed

    Advice to Management

Be more supportive & more encouraging, acknowledge & address the crappy morale, treat everyone equally & with respect

    Pros

If you want a job/career just to receive a check well this is the company to work. Must of the attitude is cannot wait to get off work or when is pay day.

    Cons

OK here is the true meat and potatoes of the company and if it is a lie someone else told it. There are many seedy people that work here such that they will undermine your work example in three regions in the company if you are not like the work you produce such a patients drawn maybe thrown away so you can be written up or fired. Those areas are Florida,New York,New Jersey and California. Next problem area is that there are persons who have been here so long that they discourage others to grow in the company or create situations which they are terminated. Also there are so many redundancies such as cost over runs for little things like changing company logo ,but not change within internal management . Another example the company purchases items for employees to use such as personalized lab coats ,but later after spending money weekly for dry cleaning later decided to throw them away rather than donate to medical programs like nursing , medical school or dental schools. Last con , but not really is that the sales department here does not hold true value in the company charter or belief in that they would sell you a car with no motor with no concern about how you are going to get it off the lot. Finally i would have to say there is a lot of lip service in that few among many keep there word, so if someone tells you something do not believe as it maybe a wolf in sheep's clothing.

    Advice to Management

Stop the lip serve and make changes like really promote from the lower level up and not because my daughter plays with your or because we are neighbors. Quest Diagnostics is employee owned and is supported to be operated as such. So if an employee experiences something wrong then we should help each other regardless of job title or position. For selfish people come selfish things.

    Pros

The company had great benefits which reduced over the years, but I believe that happened across most companies. The department I worked in was reasonably flexible.

    Cons

The company lost a lot of business due to stiff competition. The should have outsourced a lot of their work a long time back to reduce costs.

    Advice to Management

When the roles were outsourced, a number of good/productive employees were let go while the non-performing ones were retained.

    Pros

    Great benefits. That is all.

    Cons

Do not give raises based on performance. Most times they raise the minimum pay for a job over what they gave as raises and you have to ask to get a raise to the new minimum rate. Then you are making exactly what the person you are training makes. Also it sucks when they tell you that your department had the best year ever and your raise doesn't keep up with inflation

    Advice to Management

Try giving raises based on performance and not some blanket raise for every one that is not based on merit and doesn't even keep up with inflation.
