    Pros

Small company, so it runs lean. Everyone working there is of high quality. Management runs lean too, no danger of "too many chiefs, not enough indians"

    Cons

No stock options. Not much room for vertical growth. Getting promoted almost requires someone else leaving a higher position first.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work on vision of the company. However, look inwards a bit too. Give incentive to employees to stick around. Give stock options that have been asked about for years. Create some quality of life improvements for customer service jobs, which seem to have the largest turnaround by far. Retraining new hires constantly is likely more expensive than just raising the salaries slightly for those positions.

    Pros

Phenomenal opportunity to gain client experience within the financial services industry. If you show you have a strong work ethic, initiative, and persistence you have the ability to go far. The company environment is more relaxed that its counterparts in the industry such as the major banks. Work-life balance is great and flexible work arrangements when needed. Fantastic support for further educational learning (CSI courses). Commend management for being supportive of their employees. Overall most are very open-minded and will do what they can to help you succeed. Provide great feedback.

    Cons

Better communication amongst different departments and accountability for errors. Work load can ramp up during busy season, bit stressful at times but manageable. Better benefits such as pensions, RRSP matching, and more health insurance can't hurt.

    Pros

Collaborative environment, good benefits, understanding managers, flexible schedule. There were lots of room for personal growth and they have a lot of trading seminars for everyone to keep up to date on how their software works.. and in general, useful for the staff in other areas so they can get acquainted with the industry.

    Cons

Was rather unorganized as I didn't have a project manager. My training was kind of shallow so I had to figure a lot of things out for myself.
