    Pros

Co-workers are very nice and helpful.

    Cons

Management is arrogant. Every job there is like an assembly line, with unreasonable quotas and micro-managing oversight. The turnover rate at Quicken Loans & Title Source is astounding! Why do you suppose that is? This is a company that will use you up and then spit you out. The false claims of being the best place to work is because management compels its workforce to vote that way or else. They will actually stand over you and your computer while you are voting! As you can see from previous reviews, they were taken to court for not paying their employees overtime. Their base pay is also just a few dollars above minimum wage. I know from working there that I was not paid overtime (I was hourly) because even though I worked the hours, I was instructed in writing not to record the time on my timecard. Afterwards, how do you prove you worked it? They have all kinds of tricks to screw over its employees. There are many other places to work that will treat you with respect. Don't waste your time on these idiots. Trust me and pass this one by.

    Advice to Management

Your entire culture is horrific. It's all about enriching multi-billionaire Dan Gilbert and his cronies, and there is no respect or consideration given to the people who make it all happen.

I have been working at Quicken Loans full-time

    Pros

Open vacation. Ability to impact strategic pieces of the business. Very open to the ideas of their staff. Fun atmosphere. Approachable management.

    Cons

No 401k match. Could be a bit siloed and therefore lose opportunities to truly collaborate and impact the company strategically. Young management with little experience. No formal training - soft skills or technical. Often times, staff are brought into roles without clear idea of career progression.

    Advice to Management

Work on building your staff's technical and soft skills. Implement formal trainings. Work on making the org less siloed so that everyone is moving in a synchronized manner

    Pros

Some friendly people. A lot of promotional events for interns.

    Cons

The first observation you make about the company is how incredibly young is the workforce. It is incredibly rare to find yourself working with people over the age of 35, and that applies to all areas of the business. Next, if you have an emotional IQ over 100, you notice the cult-like mentality that drives the entire business. Meetings become seminars for ISM-speak; work initiatives are built around Gilbert-buzzology, and not a single day goes by without some nuanced form of work surveillance, whether it be from the CEO or the king leader himself. This is not a premier job opportunity as senior leadership would have you think. If anything, it is a last resort for people who've striked out at every other company in the area.

    Pros

Open floor work environment, free snacks.

    Cons

I considered myself a great "team member." I worked there for 8 months, took 4 days off total, was promoted twice, won several production awards, and the company still never found the decency to hire me as a full time employee. I was a contract Aerotek employee, no sick pay, no vacation days, no 401k match, a healthcare plan that was probably the worst decision ever, and expensive. I was constantly lied to my team leaders saying that my hire in would happen soon, things will get better, and none of that ever happened. I was working close to 60 hour work weeks, the pipelines were getting outrageous (200 clients or more per team member). I also noticed that I was doing more work then direct hire team members, my pipeline was over 250 and the direct hires had pipeline sizes of 150-170 and were struggling. The work/life balance is non existent, expect to go home, sleep, wake up and go to work again. After leaving, it took my like 2 weeks just to get rid of the brainwashing I felt that happened. Again, I was an excellent team member, won awards, promotions, and the bottom line was ...I was a contract employee with Aerotek and Quicken gives you no word or time frame when they can hire you in. Not impressed.

    Advice to Management

Keep an eye on your good team members, make sure they get hired in and stay. The turnover needs to stop.

    Pros

They give you the best technology and training. The offices are really cool and I liked what they are doing in downtown Detroit.

    Cons

You work all of the time and are pushed to close loans no matter what it takes - even if fraud is involved. No surprise that the government is looking into Quicken Loans for FHA fraud. This lawsuit could bring the entire company down so if your looking for job security, watch out. There is huge turnover because the company pays people as little as possible in exchange for video games, snacks, and things that aren't that important in the scheme of things. Anyone applying should know that the company is obsessed about its reputation so has folks watching social media and filling these ratings out to inflate how great a place Quicken Loans is to work. You will be micromanaged to death, be on emails with obscenities and constantly live in fear of being fired. They also watch everything you do on your computer so beware - that includes your personal email.

    Advice to Management

Practice what you preach in the ISMs book and pay people what they deserve.

    Pros

Pay is decent with lots of bonus options. If you are taking the top tier of calls, you can get good bonuses. The benefits are ok. Great health plan.

    Cons

The management treat you like you are in highschool. The company has great "isms" which are the "rules" that are supposed to govern the culture, however these "isms" are believed in a "at the end of the day" way, but not often practiced in the day to day operations. I'm convinced that management really does believe that they are there as they say, "to support you". This is in a "at the end of the day" way, but in daily operations, you often miss out on feeling supported. You don't feel like your management has your back, will help support you, and help you to succeed. There are a lot of corporate politics internally, but the company turns a blind eye to the negativity by dressing it up with their "isms".

    Advice to Management

Don't treat your employees with disrespect. Don't just say that you are a flat company. Be one. Create an environment for employees where they know you have their back, and are willing to support them. Pay more attention about the people under you, and less attention to company politics.

It was all good until I was switched from one department to another. The leadership went from great to the worst most racist experience I have ever had.

    Cons

They lie as they smile. I don't believe anything they say and you are forced to move so fast I can only imagine how you are really hurting clients. They claim to be client driven but if they cared they would push quality over quantity. They contradict everything they say. Just a very evil place to work at.

    Advice to Management

Stop being so money hungry. It will catch up you you all sooner than you think
