I worked at RGIS part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Room for advancement, Very lax if your on time and accurate, opportunity to travel, overall professional company if you know the proper channels

    Cons

Miscommunication everywhere, crazy hours, long periods of dead time, say you have to give two week notice to call off but they can switch stores the day of, getting up frequently at 0230

    Advice to Management

Remember... you set the example and overall attitude of the team, stay positive, if you're enjoying it then they will have fun with it. When a team gets along they work together better. Listen to all input and consider it think about why they might have mentioned it

I have been working at RGIS part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Can choose when you can and can't work :) Opportunity for advancement Travel meets (usually to places a few hours away, but others have gone longer distances or even taken a plane) can be fun if you like travel and you get paid travel time minus one hour. Get to visit many different places/ stores and occasionally get a discount. Most supervisors are reasonable and just want you to do your best. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger!

    Cons

You're expected to go fast but be accurate. They say accuracy is their primary concern, but those who are faster are the ones who get a raise, and once in a while the "faster" ones will cut corners and be less accurate out of fear of being demoted. It's unfair to people like me who aren't as fast but focus on doing the job right. Some people are fast and accurate though. Job duties are usually tedious Irregular hours, at night, no way of knowing exactly how long the store will take. A "local" store could be 45 min. away but you don't get reimbursed for gas/travel time unless it's a travel store (where someone else drives).

    Advice to Management

Accuracy should be your primary concern, but it isn't if people get paid more just for having a higher APH. And people should have to fix the areas that they messed up on but that's not always the case.

Flexible hours, fun, co-workers are nice, different stores every day.

    Cons

Long hours sometimes. Have to travel far for inventories sometimes.

    Advice to Management

Treat employees how you would want to be treated. Management should recognize employees for their hard work and give more breaks not just the minimum.
