I worked at Raising Cane's full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The company itself is incredible. Great crew, cool culture. Active in the community. Had many laughs and great times working with my crew. Met many great people, but mainly the food quality is top notch every time. Excellent entry level job. Worked at 3 stores across the U.S and each time, have experienced something new.

    Cons

Issues causing high stress and hectic work environment weren't resolved in a timely manner, or at all. Unnecessary gossip between management and crew. All party all the time, no respect. No benefits, minimal pay raises every 6 months, no promotions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Handle the major issues quickly and with priority.

I have been working at Raising Cane's part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

-great laid back type of environment , but also a very fast-paced atmosphere

    Cons

One of the cons of working here is that they rarely like to give you hours if labeled as a minor which sucks

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to schedule minors the most hours possible.

I worked at Raising Cane's part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Great environment inside the kitchen when the GM is not around.

    Cons

The job itself is designed for the naive teen who is still getting through high school. No self-respecting adult would resign him or herself to a lower position on the totem pole of life.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the great service and hire more teens because the adult eventually complain of career advancement in which none will get considering their education.

I have been working at Raising Cane's part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Reasonable pay, fun crew, room for growth, and sweet 50% off discount, and close to campus if you are a student.

    Cons

The only con I can truly say is working doing the school year, since Cane's is open till 3am Thurs.-Sat.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the good work and keep motivating employees

I worked at Raising Cane's full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Very Clean. Great working environment and enthusiastic employees.

    Cons

Upper management favoritism made it hard to gain a promotion through dedication and hard work. Getting time off was a difficult task even with 3 months notice.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider an easier way to schedule time off. Reduce Manager and crew member fraternizing.

I worked at Raising Cane's part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

the community, wearing jeans to work, half off food, mostly friendly customers and co-workers.

    Cons

closing is a nightmare, unrealistic expectations, poor management, hiring kids who never want to show up for work yet giving their seniors less than 40 hours a week who are willing and need the work. I once got left while closing (i was slow because i was freshly new), the others had a chat/smoke break including the supervisor. the way my managers spoke to each other/us sometimes wasn't fun, it was unprofessional and inappropriate.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

stop giving kids the most hours when their seniors need them, stop micromanaging, yeah- it's a fun and laid back place but i have never had any supervisor talk to me the way they have when i worked here.

    Pros

Fun working environment. We have a great crew and a cool culture. There was never a dull moment. I loved it there.

    Cons

Low low....LOW pay. Being there for a while but not wanting to move up into management is not he way to go. Been there for a long time and not even at $9.
