    I worked at Red Robin

    Pros

Met some great people, GM was the best boss I have ever worked for. Nice flexibility in scheduling, and family like atmosphere.

    Cons

Corporate can make this job a nightmare, and threaten your income if you do not meet harsh metrics...if guests order water, or don't want want to fillout a survey you will have shifts reduced, receive extra side work. Kids meals count against your check average...in a kid oriented restaurant. The job can be very stressful, and physically demanding.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Change focus back to if the guests are happy, some guests just don't want a tower of onion rings and a milkshake with their burger.

I have been working at Red Robin

    Pros

Laid back environment that always worked well with school schedules for those of us in college while working.

    Cons

Management was constantly changing, so there were a lot of inconsistencies with what was expected of the employees with a new manager coming in with a new style every few months.

I have been working at Red Robin part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

With a lot of hard work and a little luck, you can make ok money. Most of the people I've worked with at the three different locations are great people.

    Cons

Rigidly enforced, corporate performance rubrics for low level employees that, while technically effective in measuring profit and (I suppose) public perception of the company, don't necessarily take into account the experience of the employees responsible for performing to the standards.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work on the turnover rates. I think FOH employees would be happier if there were fewer of them but they were all closer to full-time. Pay the kitchen employees more.
