    Good high school job

    Hostess (Former Employee)
    Cedar Rapids, IA

ProsThey were very flexible with my busy high school schedule and made it easy for me to develop a solid work ethic.

ConsI found it difficult to be promoted. I wanted to serve as soon as I was 18 but because I was leaving for college at the end of the summer, I wasn't allowed to be trained as a server.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Great for Team Members, decent for managers

    Assistant General Manager (Former Employee)
    Santa Ana, CA

ProsGreat culture, pretty good bonus structure, easy to seek knowledge and learn from others. I like that there is a culture of sharing knowledge as well as caring about the team member

ConsScheduling for managers is not so great. If you are lucky to have an awesome General Manager who cares about your quality of life then you can work a decent schedule but it can be tricky.

Hard work, but with great team

    Assistant General Manager (Current Employee)

ProsUnlike other restaurant concepts, you will find at RR that the team works together and all levels will do their part to get the job done. Have a strong leadership at the top.

ConsCompany has become focused too much on the bottom line. Supplies are not regulated or updated based on sales, so if you are strong on togo orders you do not get a supplies bump which could effect bonus.

Advice to Senior ManagementThink about the little things. Listen to your managers who are in the line of fire everyday. Make morning routines easier to manage. Give the restaurants what they need to grow, instead of hindering them through unrealistic expectations that make management afraid to try anything fresh and new (i.e. outside marketing)
