“Old, innovative, and poised for growth”
Current Employee – been working at Reformed Church in America full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – As one of the oldest protestant denominations int the country the RCA has a rich heritage, dating to it's beginnings as the state church of the Netherlands back when New York was new Amsterdam. While facing the same diversity and decline of much of the mainline the RCA has become a learning organization with excellent leadership and a bright vision for starting and strengthening churches.
Cons – Like any family there are apt to be a few colorful relatives. In the case of the RCA they can be found at the right and left ends of the bell curve.
Advice to Senior Management – Continue on the path of strong leadership that listens well. A broadly shared 10 year vision will keep us focused on our mission together.
