    Pros

A convenient location for employees who live in Westchester

    Cons

Regeneron has too many layers of management, whose titles are not only meaningless, but fictional. While those managers may be educated in the field of science, they have no sense of business acumen. Those employees who choose to engage themselves in the game of office politics will do well. Those workers with high morals and work ethic will remain at the bottom, only to have more work put on them, in addition their own, with no thanks or validation...their supervisors and managers will take the bows.
In instances of supervisor/employee conflict, and there is much at Regeneron, the employee can not count on support from Human Resources, the managers and supervisors are always right, even if they are at fault.

    Advice to Management

Remove the endless layers of meaningless managers and supervisors, and start running a business. It would behoove those in upper management to pay attention to the health of their employees, who are under extreme stress, and take the time to listen to their real needs and wants.

    Pros

They do give their permanent employees a lot; don't bother temping there & thinking you will get your foot in the door.

    Cons

The managers are totally incompetent. They seem to be reluctant to clean house if you have been there for a while. They just move them around laterally throughout different departments.

    Advice to Management

Stop using temporary employees unless you would actually like to hire them as permanent employees. These people see all Regeneron employees getting these wonderful benefits and are left out. Does this seem like a good idea? You have a lot of angry people. Watch the managers more carefully and don't be afraid to get rid of underperforming managers. Watch the technical training department very carefully.

Had a lot of promise but grew too quickly and can't deliver what they say.

    Pros

Good ideas from many smart people. Benefits are good (same as other biotechs/pharmas I've worked).

    Cons

It feels like you can't do anything without getting management approval. RAs, admins, and other support staff are just support not truly valued members.

    Advice to Management

Let us do our work. We may not have MDs, JDs, or PhDs but we actually do know things. Plan a little better and give us some guidance but don't micromanage. You don't have to yell at us to get better work just treat us as peers and listen to what we are saying.

    Pros

    -Intelligent Employees
    - friendly colleagues
    - good place to start your career

    Cons

HR is HORRIBLE! Entire IT helpdesk level 1 and 2 is outsourced with C3i which is the worst to work for as you get absolutely no career development or advancement and the pay is well below average. i started as an Intern and then was brought with c3i (i only did it for the experience) . Do not make a career here, take what you learn and move to somewhere better fast. Was promised reviews and never received them. There was only one IT manager that actually recognized the outsourced employees for their hard work and truthfully he should be in charge or IT

    Advice to Management

This may or may not be on the horizon but the entire IT dept needs a makeover starting from the top down

    Pros

    -Intelligent employees
    -Free gym
-Younger employees at the lowest level, easy to make friends

    Cons

-Horrible management - they will lie on your reviews and HR will not care despite you bringing them physical proof. Many managers are managers only because they have a PhD, not because they have proven any leadership skills.
-Some managers discriminate against their female scientists and HR will not do a thing
-Despite acting like they encourage internal transfers, it's not true; you won't even get a "thanks, but no thanks"
-ZERO career development opportunities - a minion is a minion, that is, until you leave. It's a decent place to start, take your experience, and RUN.
-The company works their employees into the ground and pay nothing until they can't take it anymore - then act like they just were't good enough to hack it when they all quit.

    Advice to Management

Provide actual career development opportunities and career paths. Hire managers who genuinely care about being leaders, not just someone because they have a PhD. Management training and sensitivity training should be required. Stop being so arrogant and believing that this is the best place to work, your turnover rate says otherwise.

    Pros

Easy to get a job. Recent stock price pop.

    Cons

Inept middle management comprising of bored overweight people scared of each other like rats in a can. Upper management are in an ivory tower looking down on their peons. No vacation time, no sick days, benefits are below industry standard, pay is way below average. Inundated with useless initiatives , such as team-building exercises and other innovations circa 1980s.
