    I have been working at Regus full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    I have worked for Regus for 10+ years and can sincerely say that I have enjoyed the experience 95% of the time. I think if we're all honest with ourselves we realize that we can't be happy all the time.

    Regus is a very dynamic company. Over the past 10 years not a lot has changed regarding "what we do", but "how we do it" changes very frequently. The fact that we never become stagnant keeps me on my toes all the time and I enjoy it. I don't think there has ever been a day that I have looked at my watch at 3pm and tried to figure out how to fill the rest of my day. On the contrary, I look at my watch and have to re-prioritize to figure what the most important tasks to squeeze in the remainder of the day are. If you like this fast pace, Regus is for you. If you don't like change and a fast paced environment, I don't recommend it for you.

    The company is full of very good and highly dedicated people, I should know, I'm surrounded by them and am one of them. I believe in the concept, products and the changing global trend of mobile working.

    The GM position is one of sales and operations you need to be good at both. Those who cannot gain respect from a prospect, give good sales presentations or ask for the business struggle, conversely, those who cannot manage or motivate a team of employees will also struggle.

    I'll be honest, it's a demanding job and you're going 95% of the time, but if you're one who realizes hard work pays off then Regus is a great place for you. I've been promoted 12 times with Regus in ten years and have learned a ton. You just need to determine if it's right for you.

    Cons

    Regus has its share of negative reviews posted on the web, as there are with a lot of other companies and restaurants. Being as large as Regus is, it has had some bad hires over time that have unfortunately created negative customer service situations and made bad business decisions that reflect poorly on the company as a whole. Regus has recognized his and is taking great strides to correct this. The good news is that these "bad hires" are typically spotted quickly and are managed out, the bad news is that they occasionally spoil a number of good hard working people that I wish were still on board.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    It's great to see strides taken here, but please continue to focus on fostering a strong sense of community within the Regus team members. There is progress that can be made here.

    Great Work Life Balance, Great Support from Upper Management and Peers, If you are good at sales, you will thrive in this environment. When you work hard you get paid.

    Cons

    The Internal systems are dated and frustrating to use. Some of the people that have been over looked in the past for promotions are bitter towards the company and can create a negative work place for other employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Some of the General Managers that have been working for the company for many years are set in there ways and need to move on. They aren't willing to adapt and negatively influence the people that want to succeed. They need to go and open minded adaptable energetic managers need to replace them.

    Pros

    Induction training has been very thorough and everyone regardless of level is willing to answer questions, coach, and work together as a team to help new employees get up-to-speed quickly. I've seen in each Center an infectious enthusiasm for finding ways to creatively generate new revenues in parallel to identifying ways to exceed client expectations. Teammates are professional, respectful of each other which reflects well on prospects and clients. Hours of operation and company culture enable employees to achieve work/life balance; another huge positive to working at Regus.

    Cons

    It will be really helpful when tablets are provided to be used for sales presentations versus more traditional methods.

    Continue to be open-minded and ask for feedback on all aspects of the business to properly identify which methods or tools may be effective or ineffective.

    Pros

    Management team in my area is amazing. Team work and encouragement abound. Training, while exhausting at times, is good. Multiple databases and systems make figuring out to whom to send issues to a real challenge for newcomers. It is rewarding assisting entrepreneurs and small business persons with their office needs. As a GM, I am encouraged by upper management to be transparent with my clients about all aspects of the Terms & Conditions of their agreement with Regus. As the GM in my center I am given the freedom to make good business decisions for my clients as well as for my center. Regus is an innovative and forward thinking company with impressive growth and goals. If you like things to stay the same and have the attitude that "we have always done it this way" and don't want to adapt, then Regus is most likely not the place for you. Change is the constant at Regus. I love what I do and the team I work with and simply cannot imagine leaving Regus.

    Cons

    Billing is challenging to say the least. Billing issues crop up monthly and dealing with those issues consumes time which could be better spent elsewhere by the Team Members.

    Streamline and consolidate systems. Systems are not always intuitive.

    Pros

    Overall, compensation is competitive and can be lucrative for those who achieve targets. Benefits are also impressive - they kick in within 31 days of FT employment and don't cost a bundle. The organization is structured to provide support without micromanaging every second of your work week. And who doesn't appreciate a M-F 8-5 workweek?

    Cons

    Some people do not acclimate well to change...if so, Regus may not be for you. As Regus continues to grow into new markets, different business initiatives are launched and tested. Some may find it too fast paced. Personally, I welcome the challenge!

    I enjoy working at Regus as I get to meet people from around the world on a daily basis...my goal is to provide the highest level of customer service and make my clients job easier for them. The employees at Regus are fun, motivated, and hard working. We can transfer anywhere in the world as we have 1300 locations globally. You can't ask for better than that!!!

    There are often too many people working on a project and there is confusion...we need a little more time to do things on our own and not be micro-managed so much that it is stressfull and takes away from time we could be working on something and being productive.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    It would be great to not have so many meetings and spreadsheets due for everything as it takes time away from being able to actually work on tasks and complete. Invoices need to go back to the way they were, clients are more confused.
