I have been working at RehabCare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits, Continuing education and professional licensure fees covered, HSA account, quality care, guaranteed hours per week, Fortune 500 company.

    Cons

Productivity expected is high, limited overtime, guaranteed 30 hrs so requires chipping away at PTO to cover living expenses at initial hiring pay.

    Advice to Management

Offer more encouragement, job well done for hard work. Reasonable pay increases, not .01 percent to offset less than 40 hours per week.

    Pros

Loved the facilities I worked at. Good ability to cover other buildings if census is low to make sure you get your hours. Good communication with management

    Cons

Benefits weren't as good after Kindred took over. Not a lot of equipment. Lots of new D.O.s over a few years with new goals each time

Great communication between ADO and program directors for needed support.

    Cons

Insurance not the best with unreasonable deductibles.

I have been working at RehabCare part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great co-workers. Will work around your schedule.

    Cons

Limited in hours, limited advancement opportunities.

    Advice to Management

Not enough hours to support a family. Most employees are PRN and not full time. While benefits are good there are limitations for employees who are not full time.

    Pros

I like the close-knit atmosphere between employees. This company allows countless opportunities for growth and progression in the therapy world.

    Cons

Initially, there were minor difficulties connecting with recruiters about posted openings. They did not respond to voicemails in timely manner.

    Advice to Management

My only suggestion is to encourage recruiters to follow-up on potential employees during the hiring, or in my case, transferring process.

    Pros

The hours are great and the Program Director is a great leader who really sets the direction of the staff.

    Cons

Definitely personal growth is slow moving. I feel sometimes my hard efforts are not recognized.

    Advice to Management

I have a great manager who knows what she's doing, her hands are tied when it comes to promotions.
