    Pros

    I like the close-knit atmosphere between employees. This company allows countless opportunities for growth and progression in the therapy world.

    Cons

    Initially, there were minor difficulties connecting with recruiters about posted openings. They did not respond to voicemails in timely manner.

    Advice to Management

    My only suggestion is to encourage recruiters to follow-up on potential employees during the hiring, or in my case, transferring process.

    Pros

    The hours are great and the Program Director is a great leader who really sets the direction of the staff.

    Cons

    Definitely personal growth is slow moving. I feel sometimes my hard efforts are not recognized.

    Advice to Management

    I have a great manager who knows what she's doing, her hands are tied when it comes to promotions.

    Pros

    This is a great national company, providing a wide range of decent benefits, great resources and adherence to compliance for healthcare regulations. All of the therapists I have worked with at RehabCare are wonderful, caring individuals. RehabCare does not take compliance regulations lightly, so daily and weekly documentation is required. All documentation is computerized with therapists utilizing IPads or IPad minis. There are many great protocols already in place for therapists to utilize, from Ortho programs to Real Lifestyles. Being a large national company, there are many opportunities for lateral transfers in the case of relocation.

    Cons

    Some therapists that are not tech savvy, may have difficulties transitioning to electronic documentation. Point of service documentation can be difficult to maintain to the minute as Medicare does not reimburse for documentation time. Therapists often work off-the-clock to complete all the required RehabCare documentation.

    Advice to Management

    Electronic documentation system currently utilized is rather slow. Some glitches with the Smart software won't allow for personalized goals for the patient, there is no option for free typing specific patient situation goals. Productivity expectations for evaluating therapists are too elevated for required documentation to complete evaluations and discharges of patients, due to outcomes, g-codes, inputting evaluation/discharge, writing telephone orders and restorative nursing programs.

    Pros

    Nice facility to work in. Great therapists with supportive upper management. Flexible schedule and time off. Great technology to assist with your job.

    Sometimes hard to recruit or keep employees due to a weak benefits package

    Pros

    The therapists are great to work with. Flexible . PTO. 30 hours a week is fulltime and you can get the benefits.

    Cons

    I am having to drive an hour from just to get to work because contract was lost that was near my home.
    When I asked about going down to 4 days a wk which is 32 hours (fulltime is 30) I was told no by area director,when the Program Director was ok with it.

    Advice to Management

    Be willing to share information with staff that may be effected by the decisions that is being made, before you put them into a building and expect to know what is going on the minute you walk in

    Pros

    Rehab care has a very flexible work schedule I could start as early as I wanted and take a lunch for as long as I wanted as long as I provided treatment for my entire case load that day.

    Cons

    Caseload can change from week to week. Some weeks were high and. Some were low. I feel like I have lost some of my skills bc I have been seeing a lot of the same diagnoses and providing similar treatments to the patients.

    Advice to Management

    Upper manage wasn't involved much during my time with rehab care. I would like to see more involvement

    Pros

    Great Opportunities for new grads or someone just getting into the rehab field

    Cons

    Scheduling can be frustrating.. Inconsistent based on needs of facility. Management is often motivated by productivity and not the needs of patient or employees
