    Pros

Employee purchase after 6 months if you can put up with the bull!!!

    Cons

I received a $.25 raise but got my hours cut by 3 from 50 to 47. I am still losing about 47.00 a week in pay becuse the company has standards that are ridiculous.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop trying to rent to just anyone. The verification process is not enough. I cannot make grown people pay their bill. If they don't pay pick it up. you cannot expect that all stores will be in compliance with your credit system. Some people come into the store with the intent to steal. Get a better system of verification, and you will have better customers. Lower your prices and you will have even more customers. Stop preying on the poor and giving your employees less then 1/16% of your gross revenue to make a business run.

    Pros

Compensations was very good, if you were on the old pay scale.

    Cons

Work life balance was horrible. Weekends off were unheard of and almost anti religious in this environment. Expectations for field level and district level employees was unattainable.
We were told of great and exiting upcoming things, which all to often never materialized, despite informing out team members and clients. Constant back peddling and re justifying company direction.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Would not recommend. Study the stocks, the expectations, and extreme changes going on in their home office and executive levels.

    Pros

you have work everyday of he year

    Cons

    long hours not enough pay

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

some of your dm's don't really give a crap about their managers they ask them to do things that they know are not right, and when the crap hits the fan they turn the other way and act like they had no idea????? you have lost a lot of good managers because of this! they are in it for themselves only,a paycheck they only pretend to care. Just look at the stores that have lost good managers and see what happened to the BOR after they were gone - look at that stat and you wont wonder what is going on???????

    Pros

Decent pay, off on sundays, fairly flexible scheduling.

    Cons

Heavy workloads, short staffing, changing district/regional management. Stressful work environment. Once at a store management level, its extremely tough to increase your pay.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep better district managers in place.

It was a decent position. I enjoyed the sales part but doing deliveries and repos were the part that I disliked.

    Pros

Sales experience is probably the biggest pro you can get out of the job. You get paid weekly another plus.

    Cons

The cons are that the job requires you work long hours and can be highly physically demanding if you are doing deliveries.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make more responsible sales. Don't just give anyone anything just to get the sale but have the merchandise returned in a week. Taking time off is seen as a bad thing, that needs to change.

    Pros

Starting pay is decent for entry level. You also get a free gym membership at no extra cost, which includes such things as lifting 200 lb dressers up to fourth floors. Benefits, too, like health and dental. Also, if you hate your family and friends it's a good excuse to never see them again. You'll also have the satisfaction of knowing your earning the people above you lovely cruise trips.

    SUNDAYS OFF!! :D

    Cons

I'm often left wondering why they don't give us more responsibilities that directly contradict one another. Harassing the same people for payments whom I befriended a week ago in order to convince them to buy a used mattress is fine, but could I also then telemarket them a day later asking if they want more stuff? Also, I feel that corporate is too easy on us. We didn't even turn the profit they wanted last year, that deserves a cut in pay all across the board. I mean c'mon. I also once owned a turtle and after ignoring him for a week straight while I worked, he was still alive. More hours would solve this, because I hate that turtle.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Besides what I've covered above, I think there needs to be less communication from corporate, to managers, to employees. Sometimes my directions are too clear. Leave something to the imagination! If you're employees seem tired or unhappy, that's clearly their fault, regardless of how long they've been with the company. Actually, get rid of those guys. Also, if you aren't turning the profit you want, I feel this means the employees aren't doing their job right. Perhaps threatening their jobs daily and carrying items like cell phones would solve that, because those sell themselves, even without advertising and a sales plan.

There needs to be more telemarketing, too. The customers may say they hate it, but what do they know? Not enough to come in and get a phone at the sweet bargain of 1,000$, that's for darn tootin'!

    Paid Weekly
Paid around $380 a week starting out as a car, then you move up to around $420 as an assistant.

    Cons

    Work 48-50 hours a week.
When you aren't working you're sleeping.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

10.00 jump to 10.50 when you get Assistant...really?
