I worked at Rentrak full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

You're in New York so plenty of opportunities to jump ship when it becomes clear just how dreadful the place is. After Rentrak everything looks better.

    Cons

A sales team universally incapable of appreciating client/prospect needs. Infantile and insecure sales management - Dunning Kruger effect run wild. Even within the revolving door of media, this place is a cut above.

    Advice to Management

it would be a waster of time to offer even the slightest piece of advice. so long as the stock price goes up they could care less about morale, team building or even common decency. it's really that simple.

I worked at Rentrak full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Excellent benefits, peers worked with were very supportive and we worked as a team. Working with customers and creating relations that are very strong.

    Cons

The management team for this department were very unprofessional. Managed by fear. No development opportunity unless you were a "favorite". No feed back unless it was negative. Would not let you transfer to a different department.

    Advice to Management

Be more people orientated so employees feel like you are part of the team and follow thru with what you say you are going to do. IE: sitting with the rep while on call to give positive feedback. Follow up on creating a manual for the department.
