I worked at ResMed full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Let's see…The pay is AWESOME for a job that doesn't require a degree. This is the best paying customer service job that you will find in San Diego. They start you off in between $18-$20 per hour depending on your experience. The benefits are GREAT. Coworkers are great for the most part. Shifts are M-F

    Cons

There is ABSOLUTELY no growth here! You will stay stuck in the same position for years and years and it is expected that you kiss up to get anywhere. Supervisors and leads are clueless. Also, if you're a temp and you just happen to be wearing a color that one of the leads hates, you will be fired. They get rid of temps for their own personal/emotional reasons. This is not a professional place to work. Oh and the entire department is a bunch of females that like to cry and complain all day long. Can you say DRAMA?! The supervisors don't have your back and will nitpick you for every little thing. Oh and the raises are crappy too! You'll be lucky if you see .33 (yes, thirty-three cents) every year. If you have thin skin, don't even apply!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My advice to management is to value your employees. Actions speak louder than words. Don't treat employees as if they are dispensable.

    Pros

Great building - great cafe - great gym

    Cons

They want more and more from you without offering you any more compensation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

This is the first company I have ever worked for where there isn't an opportunity to provide feedback on your boss. They do reviews once a year and 3rd part feedback isn't even in the equation. That's why the bad management is never reprimanded or removed.

    Pros

Nice building, some nice art work

    Cons

The company is changed from best to worst. A good place for salary employee, you can call sick all the time, work start as you pleases then have unproductive meetings through rest of the day and couple of smoke break and two hour lunch. Hourly employee on the other hand clock in and out with finger print detection. No need for degree or previous experience to get hired just know someone in the company. Favoritism to the max. Top heavy. Company reached the peak and now trending down. Just read last financial report. I do not know how they get through ISO audits but now FDA is knocking……………

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

No need for advice. No one cares!!!!???? as long as they get their fat paychecks.

I have been working at ResMed full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Good Benefits, Nice building with a lot of art (personal collection of Peter), Free Parking

    Cons

No budget. Always no budget. Work work work work. In most cases, short term projects are overly ambitious instead of treating it realistically. Always expecting employee to know everything without training. Search for your own answers and how to while working on extremely high priority projects and supporting operations.
Management is extremely demanding. No Life Balance. Management will show mercy but ignores reality of the demand of the business. It is not sustainable for people in the long run. People will burn out. Management are inexperienced in handling billion dollar company by exploiting people without consideration to how much work people are working on. People here work until their wits end. So many high priority projects. Management don't prioritize. Even if they do, they ask for everything all at once. If you complain, you will be treated as if it is your fault not knowing how to prioritize. If you just focus and put all your heart into the projects, you will be questioned for not knowing how to balance life. It's a dead-end situation. People are human and human cannot survive here forever.
    Cannot see growth.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be Realistic and Need to get out their and know how other billion dollar company support operations while supporting growth of the people as well. People gives a lot to company. Thus, people deserves to grow.

    I worked at ResMed

    Pros

ResMed provides an awesome benefits package, including tuition reimbursement, which I utilized to fulfill my educational needs. They also periodically bring in fitness trainers to promote healthy-living.

    Cons

Very Difficult to move up within
    Employee Feedback is not measured
Contact Center is not well structured for communication

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you truly believe in one call resolution be sure you have enough support before you make that promise- under developed technical, clinical, and customer contact departments. Upper management needs to pause from focusing on market share and nurture ResMed insides.

I have been working at ResMed

    Pros

    Co-workers are amazing people
    Excellent benefits
    decent pay

    Cons

    Little room for advancement
Customer service reps are treated like chattel with no appreciation shown by other departments.
Those that are lucky enough to get advanced into supervisory positions get little or no managerial training.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

This company is good but your method of treating your lowest employees is deplorable.
Before advancing someone into a supervisory position at least give them training to do their job.
