I have been working at Research Now

    Pros

Good for devils or people who play dirty politics and don't care about future prospect

    Cons

Any day they can fire you. Very bad environment. Please wait and find any job but not in this company. No respect for employee. Groups are formed in team. Some mad guys are running the show. I would prefer to unemployed rather working in this company. I can not give any ratings.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

People do not work here because this is their dream job. They work because they need to support family and them self .Please think before hire and fire.

I have been working at Research Now full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    Casual dress- jeans and t-shirts
Work from home options- usually with little resistance from management
Flex time- not the best but its easy to work around your schedule

    Cons

Office politics- brown noses abound. If you don't suck up you will never get ahead
Promotions are questionable. People seem to get promoted and hired into roles without rhyme or reason.
Salary agreement constantly changing- your salary will decrease, this maybe the only job on earth were you make less money after a year or two of starting.
Clueless management- management seems to enjoy having ego stroked rather than manage, most do not understand the systems used. A very bad sign.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You will continue to lose good employees if you don't wise up. Pay your employees a consistent wage. Get rid of the political atmosphere and reward employees you put the effort into their jobs.

I have been working at Research Now full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

It is a job. Some nice people. Office refurbished last year, nice sized bright cubicles. IT team is wonderful, always ready to help.

    Cons

Very low pay, benefits not competitive, extremely political, uneducated workforce overall, not professional, like being in high school, gossip and back-stabbing. High attrition. No cohesion among departments.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of Great Place to Work because it isn't and no one pays any attention anyway. Stop micromanaging long-time great employees. Recognize those contributing instead of your friends when promotions come around.

I worked at Research Now full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Company tends to hire young people straight out of college or with little experience.

    Cons

Company has systematically lowered it's contribution to it's bonus plan to where it is very minimal percentage of base pay. In Operations, bonus used to be passed out four times a year, then changed to two times a year, now it is once a year.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Executive leadership needs to allow employees the opportunity to communicate feedback without penalizing them. CEO's open comment at one his quarterly meetings in 2013 was if you were not happy at ResearchNow then leave.

    Pros

Co-workers are great. Young group of people.

    Cons

Terrible MGMT. Employees on PM side are over worked, under paid, demoralized, micro-managed and treated like children. MGMT has no managerial skills...and too many bosses.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Clean house and get better MGMT.

I have been working at Research Now

    Pros

There are no best reasons, except Bagel Mondays, and decent salary package. Location is might also be and incentive but that is all.

    Cons

No career growth, managers have zero managerial skills, the structure of the company is not solid overall not a good company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Managers need to take managerial skill courses, not everyone has the ability to be a natural leader they have to be trained.

I worked at Research Now full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Free drinks, fruits and snacks every two weeks.

    Cons

Micro management, long hours and weekend work, no work life balance.
Clueless managers that get into post owing to sucking up to senior managers.
    Office politics and back stabbing.
High staff turn over and will fire staff in a second if not in their boys club.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

This is the 21st century so wake up and smell the coffee and ask yourself how is it that there is a high turn over of staff. Seek direction in terms of what it is you are driving towards aiming and not just spamming peoples inbox all in the name of of researching a trend. Invest in technology that will drive the business forward and not just how you can micro manage your staff .

Happy working employees are more productive and often times willing to go the extra mile if need be. Encourage team work and collaboration and not division, bureacracy and dirty office politics.

Stop using HR as a robot to dish our your dirty decision making. At a point whilst having lunch in the break out area I over heard a conversation from another member of staff saying she heard they are in the process of getting rid of dead weight in the projects team.

However, this did not come as a surprise either as I have heard and received email from senior management saying they want to do more with less. This is sad as if its a game of chess where the pawn get sacrificed i.e. those down the food chain that actually make the business prosper.

Lots of talk of do more with less whilst several senior managers sit around doing nothing but attend meetings all day with absolutely no benefit or ROI to the business.

I am no longer with Research Now but take this advise on board as people do research firms before accepting a job offer these days. If you want top performers you will have to pay for it in monetary terms as well as respect and treat them like you will like to be treated.

There is a reason why there is a high turn over of staff in RSN. Lastly, remember nobody is indispensable, just a reminder in case you forgot.
