I have been working at Reynolds and Reynolds (Less than a year)

    Pros

Wonderful and prolific working environment. Supportive staff and helpful colleagues make it an enjoyable experience. Benefits compensate for the low pay.

    Cons

The pay is well below the national average, just under half of the national average and still lower than the advertised minimum spectrum for the software quality analyst position.

    Advice to Management

While the working environment is exceptional, it truly is the unfortunate level of pay that is making others, like myself, continue to look elsewhere while employed.

    Cons

Long hours, not made for a person with a young child

    Pros

Good salary for entry-level in this economy in location (College Station, TX)
Many people to get to know and interact with (join sports teams, etc)
Boss and coworkers are entirely dependent upon department and are hit and miss
Fabulous benefits (especially for a first job) - not the best but they'll suffice
401k matching, 6% I believe, nothing to sneeze at. Better than nothing.
Well-known company, second only to Texas A&M in the town
A good place for you to get a few years of experience in and learn corporate culture
Looks good on your resume. Lots of different situations to experience.

    Cons

Need to start employees at 30K+ to even compete with other companies.
While the clocking system is helpful, it's more annoying than anything. Wish they'd move to badges everywhere.
Seriously, make lanyards acceptable, especially for those who don't leave their desk!
What HR department? There isn't one. Just payroll. Kind of unnerving.
Corporate frowns on bringing in women to high ranking positions. Another reason why you need to just do a few years and then hit the road.
Left because I had a better offer elsewhere for more money.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of some of those good ole boys -- they're swiftly making you unable to compete with other large corporations in today's society. Their ideas are outdated, they refuse to accept change, and they're bringing you down. Focus on appreciating your salespeople and giving them the support they need to promote products across the nation with increasingly stiff competition.

people are great, benefits are unique and there are plenty of different areas and departments to use your strengths and talents.

Invest more in your people and create opportunities for those people when warranted. top-level talent walks out the door every week.
