    Pros

I directly work with some good people. Overall the company is great to work for, though I've only been there a short time. Opportunity to learn, if you are lucky enough to get it.

    Cons

As an intern, I should be learning more then I am. Seems that they are wanting me to learn though "osmosis".

    Advice to Management

As an intern, I would like to actually learn the procedures. A lot of the time it seems that I am wasting time, both yours and mine.

It could be good, but not so much!

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

In theory a good company with a good product.

    Cons

    - All Senior Management are "Yes men/women" to CEO - If you aren't in Bozeman and aren't favored by management, you might as well leave - Favoritism is very apparent in the Sales organization

    Advice to Management

CEO needs to step down, he doesn't believe in marketing and has no idea how to grow the company to the next level.

  3. Folksy demeanor can be misleading - watch your back

    Approves of CEO

    Pros

Improving the customer experience is the goal of the company, which is a good and noble objective

    Cons

If you are not in Bozeman, you will have a hard time getting 'in' with the movers and shakers and making an impact. So many people have been there for so long, that they assume everyone knows what they know. They treat Greg G like a god.

    Advice to Management

More strategic, long term plans with ways to execute. Too many fire drills and knee jerk reaction planning. Senior mgmt not willing to train others and provide constructive criticism.

    Cons

Culture incosistant across locations To many people working to check the box and not really adding value/impact

    Advice to Management

Look at Leaders that have exceptionally high turnover, there is a reason

    Pros

great product good people on the floor. When i started there it was a great company to work for but in the years it grew above the possibilities of their own knowledge. There is a urgent need to get better management in place.

    Cons

weak senior management too focussed on bootstrapping too political

    Advice to Management

get some external people with knowledge in top positions

  7. Good potential--but management not growing operational bench-strength to enable rapid growth.

    Pros

good products and good market potential. products solve an important need in the market place, and company has solid record of delivering quarterly releases to market.

    Cons

Very centralized decision making, even on relatively minor items. Seems that management doesn't know how to empower employees to make substantive decisions. Lots of great ideas, but no way to execute on those ideas. Insufficient focus on growing expert skills to enable client using products. Very limited ability to share information internally unless you "know somebody".

    Advice to Management

Empower your people. You've got a good team that's hamstrung due to lack of internal processes and infrastructure and a very centralized decision making process. This approach is unsustainable and will directly limit growth.
