Pros – Get your hands on experience in latest technologies. You can actually work on NextGen application which is deployed in Cloud.

Cons – Not much process oriented. You will feel that very less time is spent on designing, because the project requirements are not properly defined

Pros – Good teamwork, but only within your own team. Lots of things to learn in model development site. Salaries and benefits tolerable. Good location away from much of the gridlocked parts of the Bay. Parent company seems well invested but still hands off.

Cons – Reorg after reorg. Massive failure to communicate between departments. Company moving forward so fast it is leaving many teams behind. Often unreasonable deadlines. Politics are terrible.

CEO is nice guy, but lacks ability to maintain course more than a year. Company seems like it has ADHD and is not on any meds for it.

Advice to Senior Management – Stop the reorgs. Stop dividing up the company into so many "teams" that do not communicate or know what each other is doing or what the needs are of your core employees/teams.

Cons – Too much work, unrealistic deadlines add stress all around.

Cons – Too many reorgs in the past few years, lots of politics, compensation not so good, management self-centered and uncaring when it comes to retaining old good people.

Pros – Interesting line of business (catastrophe risk management). Well educated people and overall nice. Fair compensation. Good benefits. Respect for work-life balance.

Cons – Jobs are often boring and repetitive. No proper use of people's skills and education. Managers with technical background but lacking people skills and basic general knowledge. Too many approximations and lack of quality in the products. Advancement and promotions are limited.

Advice to Senior Management – Don't let RMS become a factory. Mind more for product quality. Diversify RMS knowledge base. Offer more opportunities for growth.

Cons – Bad talent management, salary and bonus up to manager's preference, and often wrong people placed to jobs they don't fit.

Advice to Senior Management – Can use better salary to hire more people of better skills so as not to stray from the right direction of technology and business development.

Pros – Have very strong plans for the future, albeit bit late in terms of decision to bring in latest technology.

Cons – Frequent re-orgs are spelling dissatisfaction, unclear roles and responsibilities adding to the chaos. No genuine effort to develop and grown people from within who have been very loyal and have been putting good efforts.

Advice to Senior Management – In current turbulent and transiting times, Keep your employees happy, Company will be happier and see greater success than ever.
