    I have been working at Rolls-Royce full-time

    Pros

None. Absolutely none. Happy to see the sun outside at lunch? If you're lucky?

    Cons

This place is run like a machine shop out of the '50s. It's far from nuclear -- instead, it's a boiler-repair shop that calls itself "nuclear", with a bunch of overweight men running around with outdated ideas on leadership, fairness and openness. It's a boys' club from the 80s, and if you were *gasp* not there then, you'll be an outsider for ever. Also, the "engineering techs" as they call them are high school grads that have been trained in, you guessed it, boiler repair. Anyone can learn this stuff, and the reason the larger companies us them is because they're CHEAP, that that's all. Steer clear from this place, unless you want unfair treatment, want to put on 40 pounds of baby weight, and want to listen to Brits rant aimlessly in circles in meetings. This place makes American management -- current American management -- look like a peach.

    Advice to Management

Clean out and re-start. This place needs a total re-vamping. But then again, who would work here? The facilities are one step about a foundry or powerhouse -- and nobody minds it. It's like working in an industrial revolution cave. No money put in to anything except flavor-of-the-week hypocritical management programs. What is "high performance culture" -- ?? It's more like "high performance hypocrisy". Run from this place. Working at Wal-Mart would be more satisfying -- I'm serious about that.

I have been working at Rolls-Royce full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Looks good on a resume.

    Cons

Indianapolis office is run like a high school,if you are not a member of the in crowd your chances for a raise or promotion are almost zero. Terrible work life balance, favored employees are given extra days off and reduced workload. In 2014 the salaried workforce took a pay cut by loosing 3 company holidays and in 2015 the salaried employees took another pay cut by seeing a large increase in health care costs and the introduction of "total time" also known as mandatory (unpaid overtime) of 9%.

    Advice to Management

Indy Ofc: Grow up. Treat your employees with respect. Derby Ofc: Wake up. Do you really not care how your US employees are treated.

    I worked at Rolls-Royce full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

A great place in the beginning with great security at first. Compensation here is rather good.

    Cons

Unethical behaviours. Leadership is comprised of a sycophantic culture willing to create false successes for self aggrandizement. The culture among colleagues is continually harmed by the foul leadership. It is a CYA culture. There are critical dangers to the final product due to inefficiencies of schedules and infrastructures which are crumbling. Honesty is not welcomed here.

    Advice to Management

    Quit.

    I worked at Rolls-Royce full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

A paycheck, such as it is

    Cons

Middle school politics and work culture. Clueless, inept management with no sense of right and wrong. Shipping department and time keeping system completely non-functional. Women and minorities blatantly harassed and demeaned. Employees not valued. Horrible, backwater town.

    Advice to Management

Hold management accountable for quality control of the processes under their authority, as well as for their behavior and treatment of their employees. Return to the high standards and morals that built this company and made Rolls Royce a household name.

I worked at Rolls-Royce as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Best reason to work a Rolls-Royce was the Free Coffee initially, but they shortly did away with that, seriously.

    Cons

Working conditions - getting away with NOT paying time/half, double time. Being lied to about length of contract.

    Advice to Management

Grow up, be professional. Treat employees like they should be treated, be honest. I was so excited to work for someone like RR, BUT after this experience have changed my mind 1000% very very very disappointed.
