    Pros

Lots of opportunities for good work. Company offers good benefits and they get better at higher levels of the organization.

    Cons

Not enough focus on developing people. Some folks in senior management leave a lot to be desired with their people skills.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Improve culture such that people are trusted/respected and decision-making is more decentralized.

.25 cent raise after working there for a year(highest raise given for associates)
    Managers were hit or miss

I have been working at Ross Stores part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Flexible schedule, easy job to obtain, relatively diverse team, room to move up the chain. Management can be easy to get along with.

    Cons

You'll start at the minimum wage and you only get a raise at your annual review. Higher and full-time positions may be unavailable for a time. You'll be 'strongly' persuaded to work weekends and evenings which are the busiest times. Holiday and back-to-school seasons are nightmares, as in any retail job, but the clientele of Ross are particularly awful.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Increase payroll to allow more hour coverage. The workload is too much for a handful of employees.
