    Friendly, middle of the road

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsThe "Goldman" of Canada. Strong bank who avoided the problem of others. Second tier in terms of getting larger investment banking deals. People are friendly.

ConsBase salary and bonuses are below the street. Perhaps too risk adverse. Employees are not very interactive. Management oftent content and lacks innovation.

    unique & motivating work environment

Collection Agent (Former Employee) Mississauga, ON (Canada)

ProsTraining is excellent. The culture and work environment is very motivating and inspiring for creativity. There are a lot of opportunities to go up in the company to advance one's career.

ConsScheduling is very strict, very difficult to change schedules. Especially for students who need to change their schedule to adjust their work & school life.

Advice to Senior ManagementNeed to make schedules more flexible, especially for students - this will allow more students to work and balance their full time university/college studies.

Better than a Bulge Bracket Bank, but still a bank

Equities (Former Employee) London, England (UK)

ProsEuropean office is growing and there is a good energy about building a business. The pay is excellent.

ConsNot everyone gets Bloomberg. Lots of maintenance research. Need to be seen at desk all the time. It can be hard to get things done for clients -- harder than other places. Morning meeting is so dull.

Advice to Senior ManagementWhen hiring, be honest about maintenance research -- that is mostly what sales gets to work with. Continue with the positive attitude and sense of potential for growth.
