    Pros

Quick cash. Fun times. Great food. 50% off food, including Ribs and Ribeyes!! Yumm!

    Cons

Menu is always changing. Sometimes they get rid of favorites. Many changes make zero sense, but it is what it is.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Survey customers about things you want to bring out. Survey monkey the staff or something.

    Pros

Great atmosphere and training, Rubies is a nice establishment and takes great care to offer fresh food.

    Cons

Your manager will make your job heaven or hell, depending on the shift you work, when he/she cuts you, and how many hours you get.

    Pros

Tremendous hospitality by most coworkers. This is huge in a field where hospitality can get lost when times get busy. First serving job that I really loved.

    Cons

Seems to be low volume in most ruby Tuesday locations

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Have more specials for bar.

    Pros

They are a very good corporation to work for, there is no question to that. Becoming promoted is a seemingly easy thing to do and their food times and costumer satisfaction is spot on in most cases. The management is able to work with you and try to help with problems affiliated with either the job or your personal life.

    Cons

Unfortunately they had to cut labor and a lot of people ended up quitting, unable to live with under 30, maybe even 20 hours per week while doing three peoples' jobs at once for a modest pay. The hours became irregular and unpredictable and since the management was having its own problems, the employees suffered.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The only advice I could give to management would be to figure out some way to find a middle-ground with labor somehow(which didn't seem that easy for them) and be able to stabilize hours while giving everyone a schedule that is solid.

    Pros

Flexible hours, good management, lots of advances to move up,

    Cons

decent money, open on every holiday except for one (Thanksgiving or Christmas). Making money goes by credit card tip percentage with sucks a lot of the time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Maybe some more perks to doing well

    Pros

I worked with a great group of people and managers. That makes all the difference. I made some good friends and actually liked going to work.

    Cons

Too many servers scheduled for the business we did. Apparently, a corporate rule. Servers can't make money if they are only getting one table every 30 to 45 minutes.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep bartenders behind the bar!

    Pros

I've worked at three different Ruby Tuesdays in the southeast part-time, and all have been good experiences! Of course as with any similar job, your individual experience depends on the managers you end up with and the co-workers you end up with. Luckily I have enjoyed both at all locations! As a host I make roughly $10 an hour which seems reasonable to me for the work I do ($5.50 + tip out). Always paid on time - never had any issues with getting my direct deposit. Great customer service experience and learning to work as a team with all sorts of people that could easily transfer to future jobs!!!

    Cons

Every now and then you get a not so great manager or (of course) rude customers. But that's part of the job! Ruby Tuesday as a whole has never done me wrong!
