    Great company with good benefits

    Accountant (Current Employee)
    Albuquerque, NM

ProsSAIC is about making their customers happy. They strive to be the best in the industry and let their employees use innovation to reach this goal.

ConsSAIC is in the process of splitting into 2 companies which is expected to happen in the Fall of 2013. While direct positions should not be affected there is currently a lot of changes to indirect employees which is making indirect positions very unstable and unattractive for the time being.

    Loved SAIC

    Credit Card Administrative (Current Employee)
    Oak Ridge, TN

ProsRate of Pay. Management and the people along with the many self service training programs created a wonderful experience for me personally. I would have stayed with SAIC for the rest of my Career could I have avoided the lay-off. I will miss working at SAIC.

ConsSAIC just recently split causing a reduction in Labor Hours. Many people lost their job.
The Benefits Program also took a major hit.

Advice to Senior ManagementTake a look into the lower ranks to get an overall picture of what it actually takes to run the many different programs.

    Great company!

    Engineering Intern (Former Employee)
    McLean, VA

ProsSAIC provides great opportunities for its new employees as well as great training programs. They are a very diverse company with great internal networking capability.

ConsMany job opportunities are contingent upon winning the contracts. Also they are not big into manufacturing at all so don't come looking for a manufacturing job here.

    Excellent Client-Side Experience

    Analyst (Former Employee)

ProsSAIC has good benefits and has an enormous variety of contacts throughout the Intelligence Community that allows for a great number of different job experiences. SAIC is well-respected at the client, which made for an excellent work experience.

ConsSome people may not enjoy the status that comes from being a contractor at a federal agency, but the pay premium makes up for that difference.
