    Pros

SAIC is a strong, employee oriented company, having begun as a totally employee owned corporation. A true leader in science technology and military support, SAIC fabulous company to work for.

    Cons

SAIC recently opened up to be a publicly traded corporation. Sadly, much of the talent which originally built the company cashed out on the stock and retired. Over the course of the last 10 years however, the company has restored its goals towards employee cooperation, which has brought the corporation to the forefront of contemporary technology.

    Advice to Management

Hire and inspire. Management has the responsibility of ensuring quality engineering and technical staffing, as well as retaining talent that finds its way to this firm. Good people make for great success, both up and down the management ladder.

    Pros

Great opportunities to move up in the company; if you do well, they reward you with stock and stock options.

    Cons

Many jobs are on contracts, and if they contract doesn't get won by SAIC the next year, you are out of work.

    Pros

The work environment and the people were top notch based on similar government contract employees with other companies. The salary was in the upper-tier for government contract work and there was a lot of support from corporate for overseas employees. The company stock options, 401(K), and medical benefits were on-par with a Fortune 500 company.

    Cons

There were not very many negative aspects to working with SAIC. The only Con I have is that I wish I had started with them earlier on in my contracting career.

    Advice to Management

Continue to higher exceptional employees that have a thorough knowledge and background of the job that they were hired to do, pay the employees what they deserve, and treat them with respect.
