Current Employee – been working at SEI Investments full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – The company is a great place to make friends and enjoy your time in the office. The company is great for people who have families and need the flexible balance of time and also for people who are established in their careers looking for a home.
Cons – The atmosphere doesn't push people to succeed so a lot of tasks are done on a so so basis. There are a lot of gaps in processes and it's not a focus to correct.
Advice to Senior Management – Spend some time focusing on the structuring of responsibilities, tasks and understanding. It may be time consuming at first but will be very rewarding in the future.

Pros – Clear differentiation in product offering versus primary competitors. Leveraged business model where all business lines leverage the same platform - provides for significant competitive advantage in the marketplace.
Cons – Weak executive leadership below CEO. Business leaders that are fat and happy and not committed to the advancement of their employees.
Advice to Senior Management – Return to culture that made company one of top Fortune companies to work for. Bring in executives like Lieb, Romeo, and Guarino.

Former Employee – worked at SEI Investments as an intern for less than a year
Pros – The pros to working at SEI is the atmosphere and team environment. SEI does not believe in cubicles like most companies do and have developed their office into a team friendly environment. Another pro is that you can create opportunities for yourself at this firm by standing out.
Cons – Contrary to my pro on that you can create opportunities for yourself, the opportunities can sometimes be limited. The reason behind this is because SEI seems to hire people from outside the company to front office positions.
Advice to Senior Management – Get more involved with employes and continue to find ways to challenge them

Current Employee – been working at SEI Investments
Pros – Onsite Gym, open workplace, positive atmosphere, managment will for the most part listen to analyst and take their opinions seriously
Cons – Recognition could be better. Great place to start out of college and gain experience but probably not a great place to stay for a career
Advice to Senior Management – If SEI wants to stay competitive and keep good employees, they need to do a better job of compensating them compared to other companies

Pros – Great place to start a career. Atmosphere is calm and laid back.
Cons – Most jobs are in operations. They can can be tedious and boring. Pay at the analyst level is low. Company has a flat structure so defining a career path can be a challange.
