    Pros

Nice People who like to look busy working but the management does not have a clue on how they operate or what everyone does.

    Cons

HR has no clue how to run a department seem nice but all the employees get no feedback and are rarely rewarded for their service.

I have been working at SGS

    Pros

The job its self it not bad its pretty easy. good group of guy to work with. Get to work outside.

    Cons

The pay is low you have to put in 20 hrs of ot a week to get a good pay check which is easy to get if your short on staff. The pay is pretty much 17 you get a dollar rasie every yr for 3yrs then your max out unless you get a shift lead spot good luck on getting that. The 410k is the only good benefit all the others the deductibleis is very high.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give employees more chances to move up in the company maybe be doing this you will keep them for longer periods. Instead of training them and they go into the refinery so they can make more money for the same job.

    I worked at SGS full-time

    Pros

Work hours can be flexible as long as you meet deadlines. Lots of overtime available if you want it.

    Cons

Office culture is rife with gossip and favoritism. General employee opinion of the job is negative, which can lead to a poor working atmosphere. Management does little to improve morale, instead reacting with hostility whenever negative opinions or attitudes are displayed. Management will accept any short deadline project for money regardless of existing workload and staffing. Poor work/life balance in the summer, where the workload can force you to almost live at work. Consistent good performers taken for granted, average performers who occasionally step up showered with praise, and poor performers ignored as long as someone else picks up the slack. Very little opportunity for advancement.

    I worked at SGS full-time

    Pros

Good leadership, will work with your schedule. Thats all I have to say about that. This twenty word minimum really has to go.

    Cons

Low pay. If they would increase the pay the job would be perfect and really worth staying for a very long while.

I worked at SGS full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

An excellent example of a dysfunctional company. Individual departments are working against each other.
    A paycheck (small, but consistent)
    Free mediocre coffee
    Flexible scheduling

    Cons

Duplicitous management. I understand the difference between not having access to information because of seniority and being actively lied to.
Not opportunity for growth or advancement.
    No communication from management.
    Unreliable communication from management.
    Low pay and no bonuses.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Re-evaluate your management processes and training. Your middle managers are destroying the morale and productivity of their staff.

    I worked at SGS

    Pros

The patients have been with the group for years and are patient and very pleasant to work with. The headquarters office is nice (aesthetically).

    Cons

Upper management is unorganized and incompetent and just plain rude! There really in no middle management nor checks and balances. No training is offered (because of the incompetence). There is a NO TALKING policy (meaning no talking) which is most likely why the employees are not very willing to assist one another.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Step down before the collision if you really care about spouses company! Let spouses hire outside management and provide neutrality in the office.
