    Pros

Lots of flexibility with schedule and work/life balance. Great managers, field reps and inside reps to work with. If you are competitive, you will do well with the monthy spiffs and win amazing prizes like ipads, trips and more money.

    Cons

customers will always say no to you. Have you develop thick-skin. monthly metrics like meetings, drops, quotes, etc.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Upper management seems only driven by spreadsheets and getting large accounts that don't give you time to buy. They don't realize that small accounts can have a spend of $1M as well.

I have been working at SHI International full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Great culture, real team environment, everyone helps each other regardless of team or function, lots of fun events, career advancement, committed to hiring from within, HR is really helpful, lots of random and unexpected opportunities to use other talents you may have

    Cons

starting pay too low, no real on-boarding process, it could be depending on the team, but putting in long hours and extra effort gets you nowhere

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

reward effort and going the extra mile, this would require the manager to actually manage. Know who's shopping and youtube-ing all day and who's trying, also allow those who have proven themselves to work from home occasionally, make it less obvious who favorites are

    Pros

A lot of opportunity to learn about exciting technology.
Potential to be very lucrative in a short period of time.
Company and partner manufacturers work hard to provide a fun environment for employees.
There is plenty of opportunity to find new roles across the company and across the US.

    Cons

Increasingly challenging quota attainment - the opening position has a seemingly short shelf life.
The number of new reps creates a challenging learning environment for new teams.

    Pros

Flex hours, good pay if you sell alot of high margin product and services, friendly co-workers who are often very helpful. Women and minority owned.

    Cons

lots of low margin products, some staff are in their positions just because of their tenure..

    Pros

Fun, young environment. Great management. Ability to grow within the company. Overall good company. Gym in building is an extra perk.

    Cons

Pretty boring work. Desk job. Could be on a really great team or could be on a terrible one. Mainly based on luck and up to your training managers discretion. Not much of a challenging role

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Restructure training program and placement procedures

I have been working at SHI International full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Great work culture. Laid back depending on your manager. Room for growth if you put in the effort to stand out. Busy enough so you're not bored, but not so busy that you're overworked.

    Cons

Very young workplace. Over 30 is overage in the Inside sales position (Entry Level). Low pay but equal for everyone.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Job advancement is too heavily based on time with the company and not based on experience.

I worked at SHI International full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Great energy. Young professionals. Parties and events paid for by vendors. Fun place to work.

    Cons

Ridiculous cold calling. If you are an IAE, you are worthless and replaceable (and treated as so)...

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Raise salaries of IAE's and invest in their success instead of giving up on them and replacing them with fresh meat.

Good company, some issues with management.

    I worked at SHI International

    Pros

Supervisors/immediate managers are great for the most part. Some great amenities, benefits

    Cons

Cash is enough to survive but below general market rate. Upper management has NO connection to sales teams. Morale always an issue.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start actually listening to everyone instead of the few cherry picked managers you love.
