    Pros

Great quality of life. Excellent benefits. Variable component to pay for most job categories helps strive for more. Work life balance couldn't be better. Fair treatment. Customer responsive. Flexibility and full autonomy on how to do yr job!

    Cons

All senior, VP and C-level positions are held almost exclusively by Europe based employees. If you don't ask for it, you probably won't get it. Workplace itself is depressingly quiet instead of buzzing with activities. HR department is practically worthless in North America, adds no value! Educated and senior employees are left feeling short changed except for generous benefits.

    Advice to Management

Lead by Example. Set politics, differences and personal agenda apart and deal rationally with the customer. Be more hands on and better informed about your product instead of talking money immediately with the customer. Leverage individuals with a strong background to aid generate data for decisions.

Upper management screwed up everything Engineers/line-1 management did

    Pros

Good benefit package until plant is shut down by European politics.

    Cons

Tough management, no family time, pro-European.

    Advice to Management

Carlo Bozotti only cares about what the investors say, no vision.

    Pros

Relaxed attitude to work hours, good vacation and pay, very diverse portfolio of products enables many career move options, large diversity of world sites gives opportunity for travel and job advancement.

    Cons

Very euro-centric management, difficult to break into "inner circle" if not close to European HQ, diversity of product portfolio can often seem to make strategic decision making chaotic with no overall direction for company. This often translates to job uncertainty at the individual level.

    Advice to Management

Diversify power structure, bring in outside managers with new ideas.

    Pros

Compressed Workweeks, decent cafeteria, hilarious international Q&A board.

    Cons

Poor reviews. As a tech, credit seemed to be given to those who sent the most emails versus those output the most work. Better raises are given to people who do zero work but make themselves the most vocal, while the others pick up the slack.

Don't count on hard work getting you appreciation.

    Advice to Management

Pay the good employees better, trim the fat (literally), and quality employees might stick around

    Pros

Great place to learn about international business, working with teams and customers in different regions

    Cons

It's a EU company which means the priority will always be EU. Also, it is very difficult to grow in this company unless you are very close to upper management.

    Advice to Management

There should be more focus on building new talent as well as maintaining creativity and energy. It would help if there was HR presence to track employee satisfaction in the US.

    Pros

Culture is accomodating and kind, unlike hyper-aggressive American companies.
Opportunities to change division/group/location, and generally supportive

    Cons

Pay is not high, don't expect any stock appreciation
If giant company is for you, maybe ok place. But don't expect to change the company by yourself

    Advice to Management

Market is moving quickly, how to counter Mediatek, Broadcom and other faster companies?
