    Good company, solid internships available

    ProsGood people/culture, challenging internships with decent pay. Would recommend to a friend. People seemed to have a good work/life balance and senior staff is very accessible.

    ConsWas disappointed with opportunities within the company available post internship. They like hiring high performing interns which is a plus however I felt the money wasn't competitive enough especially at a big company like Synnex.

    Interesting because it is my first time to experience in a manufacturing company.

    SYNNEX has been a great company to work for.

    ProsThe people are great, there is a "can do" culture with a team attitude and atmosphere. You can have a very good work/life balance.

    ConsThey tend to value outside talent more than they value current employees with tons of potential. Expectations tend to be closer to unrealistic than realistic.

    Advice to Senior ManagementPlace more value on the employees you've grown rather than the ones brought in from the outside.

    Good and not so good...but not bad

    ProsSynnex has good people, good benefits and good financial strength. The work is challenging and the earning potential is good for inside sales, business development managers, and product managers.

    ConsThere are many long term employees that have the potential and qualifications to move to managerial, director and associate executive positions...but because executive management brings in talent from the competition and outside sources, those employee's potential is not realized.

    Advice to Senior ManagementPromote from within. Create a database of employees, their qualifications, skills and talents. You sell software on your line card that will make this possible.

    Great work atmosphere with performance based compensation.

    ProsGreat place to learn two tier distribution and become familiar with IT Vendors. Employee's are paid above industry standard. Positive work atmosphere when compared to other distributors. Accessibility of senior management allows everyone to feel connected with the direction of the company and how decisions are being made. I would suggest SYNNEX to anyone wanting to start a long term distribution career or to make connections with a diverse group of vendors. Because SYNNEX is positioned as a Business Process Services company and not a traditional broadline distributor there is the ability to think outside the box and change directions quickly.

    ConsCareer employee's who punch the 9-5 clock and don't offer much additional effort although you find these people at most companies. There are a few people in management positions who would have been weeded out in other companies due to their attitudes and lack of people skills.

    Advice to Senior ManagementContinue course around BPS and innovation.

    A good place to start

    ProsWhen I started, it was the career advancement opportunities. They rewarded hard workers and and took care of loyal employees.

    ConsTo focused on cost cutting. Under paid their sales people. Always changed the compensation programs in favor of Synnex, not the employee.

    Advice to Senior ManagementTake care of your strong employees. All to often you try to pay them as little as possible for as long as you can and then as they're ready to leave, you offer them more money.
