Nice, open minded place. Ideas get approved and sold. Management is hip and open to discussion for pushing ideas.

Art Director (Current Employee) New York, NY

Prossummer fridays, the name of the company gets far in non advertising related situations. Working from home is a possibility.

ConsA little bit divided between teams of different clients, they are on a separate floor.

A truly global company to build ad agency experience

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsNice working environment, young and fun people, pretty good pay when you are up to middle level management position.

ConsLike most agency, a huge amount of work everyday. It takes too long, normally 3-5 years to go up to middle level positions.

    It's a huge stable agency

Senior Art Director (Current Employee) Torrance, CA

ProsI was treated fairly well. they try to make it a good place to work. not a lot of pitches. very few weekends. I worked on the Toyota biz. The clients were nice and didn't meddle. rarely even came to shoots.

ConsPolitics within the groups. Some backstabbing. Too much attitude. This "you have to go get another offer before we'll give you a raise" was BS.
They constantly flip top management. which just rains confusion and shuffle. They wacked 7 creative directors right at christmas. nice. that made me start to sniff around for something else. they expect loyalty, but offer none.
How do you remove a guy who was just named Adweek's "West coast agency leader of the year"?

ProsA creatively driven shop, that was a great place to learn about the industry. Very hands on, experience oriented.

ConsSaatchi needs new upper management, some new business and a new hiring managers to be great again. Right now, it's just cruising on the strength of its well recognized name.

    Great place to work

AAE (Current Employee) New York, NY

ProsIt is a great agency to get experience at for advertising. I would highly recommend it to other people. There are great, smart, and fun people working there to learn from.

ConsI wouldn't say there are 'cons', but I would not recommend the agency, or advertising in general, to people who are not passionate about advertising.

Advice to Senior ManagementI have not been there long enough to give feedback about the leadership at Saatchi & Saatchi, but I feel very fortunate to be learning under them.
