    Pros

Competitive compensation and good benefits. I learned a lot in the short time I was there. Cafeteria and campus really nice.

    Cons

It's a very boring place to work. Job security is pretty shaky.

    Advice to Management

Train new employees more, and try to excite/engage them with the work

    Pros

Still a great company to work for. Beautiful campus, great people, lots of opportunity for growth. Flexible scheduling is a huge plus, especially for those with a family, and I enjoy getting to work with colleagues from around the world.

    Cons

This is not the same company I knew and loved. While still a great place to work, the trajectory is worrisome. The salaries are not competitive and there is a lack of incentive for collaboration across teams. We used to have an amazing culture that valued community work and the environment but those programs are sloy fading into the background.

    Advice to Management

Be aligned. Don't make your people fight battles because as leaders consensus cannot be achieved. Have the tough conversations and relay a buzzword free, down to earth vision for what growth and success really looks like. This will save time, money and boost morale. Be sincere. Act out the values you placed on the walls.

    Pros

    - Decent compensation package - Flexible work schedule with ability to work from home however this is largely due to the fact some weeks you will work 60 hours and have early or late calls with other global regions - Lots of lateral opportunities and ability to learn different skills

    Cons

    - Extremely siloed departments with politics being played by leaders, disagreeing and fighting for power over responsibilities meanwhile employees and customers feel the negative impact - New management leaders from outside of the industry do not understand the complexity of the solutions nor the importance of having talent with airline experience - Upward mobility is very challenged and it can be very difficult to get promoted even though there is allegedly a succession planning program

    Advice to Management

There is no shortage of new shiny ideas but you must deliver the basics first and meet your customers' day to day needs before you can attempt to deliver on the future. Shift importance of job skills to industry airline / experience vs. overall job skills as you cannot build a good solution without good requirements.

    Pros

Interesting industry with international customer base, diverse workforce, very good coworkers, good cafeteria. Nice office space (although a bit away from Dallas)

    Cons

Management, and here especially Senior Management, has no concern for the employees, promotions very hard to come by unless one "belongs to the club". Sabre prefers Yes-men, dissenting views are not appreciated, and an invitation to follow opportunities outside of Sabre may follow.

    Advice to Management

I don't really have an advice to management. They think what they do is just great, so they won't listen anyways. The fact that so many talented people left Sabre to open up their own shops competing directly with Sabre or join competitors, would probably concern me. But I'm not so sure if it concerns Sabre's management.

    Pros

Salary is good, flex time is also really good.

    Cons

Too much politics with upper management. Have to play the game or you won't get promoted.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the employees that do the work. They were hired for a reason.
