    Pros

Some departments are very skilled. The insurance is ok. Work from home can be good if you work on the right team

    Cons

The constant threat of layoffs. As an engineer - despite the best efforts and some of the best quality product you can imagine - marketing killed the budget overnight on a three-year project.

The whims of senior management and marketing wreck havoc with the worker bees at Sabre.

    Advice to Management

Far the entire management team and hire people who are ethical, moral and responsible.

Take a page from Google and stop trying to be something you're not.

Company strategy is scattered. Poor leadership under Tom Klein.

    Pros

I worked among a team that bonded based on the fact we felt we were 'forgotten' by Sabre management. We all did our best to bring strong results to the company, but found less and less resource as time went on.

    Cons

Regular layoffs. You'll never feel 'safe'. Hard to make life decisions when layoffs are so frequent. I made the best of 15 years with this organization, but would NEVER go back based on the manner in which they eliminated my role. Salaries are luke warm.

One of the Worst Work-Life Balance. Company has very good projects and opportunities to work on but no team alignment.

    Pros

Provides Fantastic Compensation with generous benefits including a standard 401K match upto 6% ($ to $ Match) of your basic salary.

    Cons

Working under Pressure expected on almost routine basis. Lack of alignment between cross-teams. Lot of team members have Ego problems and Back-Biting business is routine here. No value from upper management for the work done during your tenure. HR sucks too. No HR professional provides proper answers to your queries. At most I would say a transition company in your career which you can be at to learn some new technologies and skillsets and then move on to a better opportunity after spending some time here.

    Advice to Management

Respect the integrity of your employees ad treat them fairly. Understand that at any given time, whenever an employee quits or leaves your company, he/she does not lose a good opportunity. Instead you are losing a good asset and in turn inviting trouble to hire new talent which may or may not turn out to be as good or experienced to work under the already worse Pressure situations persisting in your company.

Advice to HR & Some of the Trouble Makes: Keep your Ego at your home when you come to office. No one cares (Not at-least me) whatsoever when it comes to finding a new opportunity after moving on from your company.

I have been working at Sabre

    Pros

Interview schedules on time . good response from hr...................................................................................

    Cons

requirment is not clear and they said java, c++, unix and oracle.. simply they gave 15 objective questions . But answers are not clear..

    Advice to Management

Written test answers are not clear.. better to take face to face interview for senior associates.

    Pros

The people is the main reason that makes this place and why I have remained so many years. The Work From Home can be a benefit assuming you have a Manager that allows it.

    Cons

No work life balance. Promotions are based on how well you can promote yourself via a PowerPoint and networking and stop being about your actual accomplishments. Company feels that more Project Managers is what we need when we need people that do actual real work.

    Advice to Management

Hire more people that can help getting the work done and not those who only track and report. The backbone of the company is feed up and your are losing good people everyday.
