Work for another company with a better reputation

    Claims Department (Former Employee)

ProsSome of the people were great, some were dedicated, and some had in-depth knowledge in their job function. There were a decent group of people there who actually had a great work ethic and took pride in what they did.

ConsThe atmosphere was dour. Micro-management abound, extreme work load within every department, minimal pay, and pompous expectations from low-level managers. The stress alone in that environment can take years off your life. Customers were rude; yelling at anyone who would answer the phone. Depending on the department, not many people answered their phones. More interested in sales than retention; including both internal and external customers. Completely misplaced sense of loyalty.

Advice to Senior ManagementThere is a limited career track for most positions within the company's structure. Don't offer child-like incentives in place of lucrative career paths. It's condescending.

    Believe the negative reviews!

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

    ProsThere aren't any positive comments.

ConsCompany is unethical. Don't trust anyone. Believe that the executives are only out to make themselves more money. If it means walking over you in the process, they wouldn't think twice.

Advice to Senior ManagementGet a conscience. Take care of your employees. We are not "human capital". We are people.

Unethical and Not to be Trusted !!!

Customer Service (Former Employee) Columbus, OH

ProsNone because they don't deliver what they promise.

ConsDeceitful and unethical is all i have to say. They are all vague and unresponsive in an effort to take advantage of their employees. If you do your research and review their lawsuits you will see that is the company environment from the top to the bottom. Don't work here unless you are so desperate you can't do any better.

Advice to Senior ManagementYour time is limited so continue until you get sued again.

    Horrible, horrible. Run fast !

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsJeans all week. I am supposed to write 20 words to explain the pros of the company but other than jeans all week there are no pros.

ConsLow pay, micromanaging, CCC upper management does not have a clue. Many liars. Many, many layoffs.

Advice to Senior ManagementRestructure completely especially CCC upper management. They do not have the best interest of SA at heart.

Great co-workers, poor lower management and unrealistic expectations

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Columbus, OH

ProsGreat co-workers, relaxed dress code - jeans and tennis shoes, health coach on site, benefits are better than most places, matches 401 at 50% up to 8%,

Conshigh stress, over worked- the claim load is astronomical, unrealistic expectations set by management, under paid, employees under appreciated, most management under the vps are very unprofessional, poor training. Not given the tools to do the job because of trying to cut cost.

Supervisors steal your ideas and call them theirs.

Advice to Senior ManagementPlan for a larger training class, everyone is looking to jump ship. Learn basic math - if 12 leave you cannot just hire 5-6 and think that will help. You need to replace the losses. Stop giving poor performers new positions just to get them to stay - they end up leaving anyway. Overstaff by a few people, people get sick, they take vacations and family emergencies happen. They can always help those that are behind as someone always will be.

    Property Damage Adjuster

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Columbus, OH

ProsCasual dress, jeans on Friday, friendly staff, employee discounts for local businesses, Wellness benefits and coaches available on site daily

ConsOverworked, underpaid, unappreciated. Poor training, supervisors and managers do not return their own calls, unrealistic claim load, impossible quality standards

Advice to Senior ManagementImprove the training department, give realistic expectations of what the job will consist of, treated everyone fair and equally. Pay more competitive salaries and staff to meet claims needs and expectations.

I like what I do but do not like the management, they are very inconsistent on what they do.

BI Adjuster (Current Employee) Columbus, OH

Proslocation is good, hours are ok

Consclaims are assigned to you when your are off and expected still to me the 24 hour contact policy..how if you are not their. Inconsistent with fairness and discpline.

Advice to Senior ManagementBe more knowledgeable of claims and the work flow. Supervisor's are often times unaware of claims work flow, and then need to responde to emails we adjusters send to them on sup calls.

If you are looking for a short term employer, this is your best choice.

    Sales (Former Employee) Woodsfield, OH

    ProsPersonal TIme
    Sick Time
Pay is good if you are starting off, but when you receive advances your pay remains stagnant
    Base Pay
No Requirement to provide own leads
    Profit Share

ConsPay is not worth getting excited about after you work there more than 3 years
    Management is unsympathetic
    Rude Customers
Impossible Requirements after allowing representatives to perform at their own will
Lack of proper communication between Senior Management and Supervisors which in turn makes it difficult for Supervisors to lead their reps

Advice to Senior ManagementLook for another company and distance yourself from this company as soon as possible so as not to tarnish your own reputation.

If you are looking to make just a base pay and no commission, then this is your new job.

Sales Agent (Former Employee) Woodsfield, OH

    ProsBase Pay
    401-K
    Health
    Dental
    Life Insurance
    Occasional Pay Increases
    Consistent Schedule

    ConsIncompetent Supervisors
    Unfair promoting practices
No Commission, except during the busy season in February and March
    Elite-test attitude of Upper Management
Inconsistencies in Discipline, some people are reprimanded when others are not

Advice to Senior ManagementJust because many of you achieved Associate Degrees or had sub-management Wal-Mart positions does not make you qualified to be a manager. But that does not excuse you from being professional. I have never worked in an environment where I heard more about the Bar and getting wasted and other Redneck activities than here. Stop focusing on dating your reps and more on doing your job.
