    Pros

The PTO was fairly good, the promise of paid holidays, the surface shows a well oiled machine of a company.

    Cons

Pay sucks compared to the industry average, far too many changes made at the worst possible times ( IT decides to update the company wide server environment without first testing what they're implementing and waiting until the companies busy season to implement it. Which only causes major computer failure. The company was operated by another business management company in order to finally turn a profit after years of mismanagement only to turn around and repeat the same things that hurt the employees and in turn the company such as micromanaging employees. Rules are not enforced if management likes you and they will turn a blind eye towards many things. But, you are on point of they don't like you. The company is ran by and it's backbone is a computer system called auto pilot that was designed in the 90s and all but limps the company along. The designers and programmers who built it no longer work there so any IT people they have simply cross their fingers hoping it works because no one truly knows how it works They constantly want to change things and set goals but yet, they don't actually have any feking clue what they want the goal to be other than just "try harder." There seems to be a complete disconnect with first line supervisors on how difficult their lower employees jobs are. Not to mention many times over it seems that managers are promoted based on their sales experience. Not their overall experience, so it's not uncommon for your own supervisor (who you're supposed to confide in and trust to know all that you don't.) to tell you they have no answer and that you know more about your job then they do. Adjusters are also in the same boat apparently forgetting that claims first notice of loss are their buffer. They complain that they have so many claims to work on but yet, they refuse to admit that if not for us doing their job they would have hundreds if not thousands more. Promotions are all but non existent. Oh and don't forget. Those holidays they talk up during your hiring process are complete bull. You will be mandatoried for every one unless you're lucky enough to use a vacation day but even that's not promised. The company continues to shine in the worst way possible.

    Advice to Management

Communicate with your staff. If not for them, you wouldn't be where you're at. Walk the floor more, and if time and work load allows, strike a convrsation every once in awhile. Come to grips with your own reality that you're as disposable as any single person under you. Most importantly. If your employee screws up. Don't talk down to them. Your podium can be knocked down as easily as it was built.

    Pros

Great co-workers pay and benefits are OK.

    Cons

If you look up the word micro-management in the dictionary, you will see a Safe Auto Logo. You are treated like a child by bully managers!

    Advice to Management

Get rid of 1/2 your management, and just let your workers do their job in peace, without big brother breathing constantly down your neck.

    Pros

The benefits package was great, although salary was a bit below the industry average. All of my co-workers were great and we managed to have fun amongst all of the stress. I had four weeks of PTO right off the bat which is unheard of. Benefits also start on the employee's first day.

    Cons

The workload was unbearable. Turnover is high because of the stress and the claims department is consistently short staffed. Stress level is extremely high because of the sensitive nature of insurance claims and the demographic of the target market of Safe Auto. Different areas of the department would implement cost-cutting measures that were inconvenient to the customers, and the adjusters would be the ones to deliver the bad news and take the resulting abuse.

Financially in dire straits; management will throw you under the bus when results go south; limited career opportunities; nepotism in hiring; below-average compensation; meager severance; trouble retaining employees

    Advice to Management

Step aside and let someone else take a shot. You're in over your heads.

awful communication from upper management to the average worker. in order to be promoted in the company it seems you have to totally screw up your current position and then you will get promoted out of that position. have seen this 4 times in the last 6 months.
