I have been working at Safety-Kleen full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The executive team that evolved over the last few years has really made a difference in the culture, the business and how we all do our jobs. There are many long-time employees, which is great in a company this size.

    Cons

The only negatives are with regard to the recent acquisition and the overall impact on the employees and the customers.

    I worked at Safety-Kleen full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Safety-Kleen had some ups and downs in the past. However, with the addition of Bob Craycraft in the senior role, it became a new company. Gone were the "good ole boys" that were there from years of political savvy rather than work ethic. Kept, hired and promoted were with very few exceptions, hard working, forward thinking employees that have nothing but the best plans for the future of the company. I'm only a former employee because of retirement, otherwise, I would still be proud to be part of the SK family.

    Cons

Don't work at SK if you don't want to be held accountable! Benefits could be improved, but that was quickly on an upward swing and comparable to most employers in the current economy.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More of the same - keep looking out for your best and brightest!

    Pros

You can easily make your mark as a younger employee and work your way up

    Cons

Upper management tends to focus on numbers only.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It's a good job with good benefits but long hours, but you'll only have to work a very rare weekend. You'll never go hungry or not pay the bills because of low pay.
