    Great family atmosphere, very friendly

    Cons

    Selling credit and plus memberships is #1 priority and gets in the way of customer service

    Don't cut hours for people just to get a bigger Sam's Share, it hurts customer service and quality of employees.

    Don't hire people because you like them only
    Listen listen listen and truly listen to associates below your direct reports
    Don't take advantage of weaker associates by stepping all over them
    Don't lead by fear and intimidation. Listen to SAM Walton
    Don't take advantage of your high position with the company and step on lower band associates because you don't like them
    Don't align with the people division to device a plan to get rid of good associates
    Don't lie to your upper leaders that you are holding people accountable but you are actually using accountability as an excuse to get rid of someone

    very flexible part-time hours. I was a college student and they worked around my class schedule.
    Profit sharing bonus given out yearly.
    I received feedback often on performance that was helpful and constructive

    Cons

    all associates are expected to push memberships and credit cards.
    during slow season hours were cut to less than 15 hours a week

    push selling membership upgrades less and customer service more.

    The hours are not to bad since they close at 8:30pm most days and early on sundays.

    Cons

    Management is terrible and they do not look towards people going to college as future managers. Its totally by whom ever then want or like.

    Pay your employees better and increase management numbers so the employees have management there to support them.

    Meeting new people. Enjoy cool co-workers. Wages are fair. Hours work with my college schedule.
