Company and manager very focused on customer needs and support.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsIf you like problem solving and being empowered to make decisions, this company is a great place to work. The pay is great, but the hours can be long.

ConsLong hours may be required to meet customer deadlines on projects. Customers can be very demanding and project requirements can change quickly.

Great opportunities for hard workers, bad work/life balance

    Field Engineer (Current Employee)
    Conway, AR

ProsSLB is a very dynamic environment with a lot of career opportunities if you're willing to work hard. Traveling for work and/or training. Great safety culture. Emphasis on diversity worldwide.

ConsAs with most oilfield companies, the hours and lifestyle can seem kind of ridiculous. Be willing to give up your life for your first few years with the company.

Great people, but management likes to keep you in the dark

    Field Engineer (Current Employee)
    Weston, WV

ProsGood pay, good time off (you need it), fun people to work in the field with in most cases, you get really close to your co-workers

ConsWork can become your life, hard to take vacation outside of days-off, your days on are "on", work can come in waves, and your sleep the opposite. Very hard lifestyle, esp. for younger people because many of the locations are not near nice cities

Advice to Senior ManagementFocus on employee lifestyle more and keep employees more current with the situation in their district

Good Company to Start Your Career

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsLots of opportunities to learn if you wish to learn

ConsManagers do not get proper training, maybe too much politics. Some managers would not let a "great" performer go because he/she is too good and will affect the manager's bonus. This will make a great employee leave. Managers move around a LOT so they are near-sighted.

    Project Manager (Current Employee)
    Houston, TX

ProsGood trainings ae available. Most of people are very had working. Some employees are very academically techinical and some projects are a differentiator.

ConsToo much work....usually 1 employee handles the amount of 2 or more people tasks. Salary is not so good. Local management is pretty young.....typically 12 hours work on weekly days.
