I have been working at Schneider Electric

    Pros

There are a lot of really good people at Schneider, you can meet people that could be lifelong friends. There is a strong culture of personal and career development, along with the multiple business units, there will be opportunity for advancement, especially if you are mobile.

    Cons

There is a lot of bureaucracy that can make things take forever to get done. The recent financial performance has not kept up with key competitors, putting pressure on employees to do more with less. I have seen a lot of long time employees take jobs with competitors in the past 3 years.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The Digital Customer Experience is not improving. Every transformation of the website has made it worse. Take a look at some of our distributor's sites, they are best in class.

    I worked at Schneider Electric

    Pros

Benefits: standard benefits like 401k matching, okay to good medical coverage, average PTO.
My direct manger and N+2 manager were awesome, and definitely made my working experience great. This is not standard, with many managers still middle aged-and-older men in the 1960s mentality.

    Cons

Very silo'ed still, despite efforts for different business units to work together.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest more in internal tools and IT. Give up IBM and LotusNotes. Use GoogleApps or at worst, Outlook/exchange.

I have been working at Schneider Electric full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

This was a local company that has very good people to work with. When Schneider Electric purchased it, it became more cost effective, and more efficient in its processes.

    Cons

It made some errors in customer relations, and is struggling to regain market share from those lost customers. Also, focusing on cost, it laid off many more costly and experienced people for cheaper and less experienced people, which has affected it negatively.
