    Pros

Exciting industry (lottery & gaming). Combination of large company strength and brand and small company "family" environment. Supports veteran hiring initiatives. Growth strategies into gaming. Professional executive team. Long successful history in industry.

    Cons

Dissonance between desired and perceived work culture. Top talent tends to be stretched too thin with minimal resources. Less committed to investing in technology and innovation in departments that support and contribute to the company's success. Many employees didn't know or understand the company's goals.

    Advice to Management

Take the time to truly understand the current employment brand of SG and determine if it is helping or hurting SG's ability to attract, recruit and retain the type of talent necessary to fuel your future success. Invest in telling the SG career story.

    Pros

7 days on 7 days off work week, decent pay for the area and 7 hours of overtime built into check, and some room for growth based on company needs. Break room with free coffee, and they like to feed you for doing extra work, like coming in extra hours to cover people on vaca and sick time. Sick and vacation time is straight allotment instead of separate, so you choose what to use it for. The management is good to work with and the other employees are knowledgeable about the job and overall friendly. There is a fairly high turnover rate, cause not everyone can work an overnight shift. Things change a lot so there is always something to do

    Cons

no raises for 2015, even after we had a conversion we sill wont see raises because they bought out 2 company's and don't feel they have the money after making millions in profit to give a percentage raise.

    Pros

    WMS Gaming Chicago Pros:
Cafe to eat breakfast and lunch
    Office culture
    Interesting and complex projects
    Great location
    Job security and stability

    Cons

Uses traditional method for rating employees with a system restricted on how many people can 'exceed' expectations, meaning even those who might work really hard may only end with a 'meets expectations' simply because you cannot give out too many 'exceeds' ratings.

Budget constraints on nice things for incentives to employees shrinks year by year.

    Advice to Management

There is a reason why most attrition is due to finding a better opportunity. WMS needs to compete more against those 'better opportunities' and look like a better opportunity to outside groups.

    Pros

Great training program for entry level employees. Employer seems to genuinely treat their employees with respect and care. The salary is good and diverse schedule offered. Room for growth. Slow paced environment.

    Cons

They have a great incentive program but sometimes hard to reach. There are way too many contractors and seat warmers.

    Pros

Fast pace, great people, competitive pay

    Cons

Upper management is somewhat distant from every day employees. There are a lot of separate moving parts, and it sometimes seems like we're working in different directions.

    Advice to Management

It often feels like everyone is working in their own business units and aren't aware of what is going on with the various other business units. Set a unified direction and communicate it clearly to the entire company.
