    Pros

    I enjoyed working at scotia bank, they have a strong sense of community and family. Did not feel like work at all when i was there.

    Cons

    because it is a big company it will take some time to climb the ladder, so you have to be patient and have a clear direction as to where you want to go in the company.

    management recognizes personal contributions.

    The people are amazing, the company provides a good work life balance, they offer great flexible benefits, a fair salary and flexible work shifts.

    Cons

    There is a lot of workplace politics. The financial objectives are usually set very high and the pressure to meal the targets are high.

    Give recognition where it is due. Keep on top of your own responsibilities to be a good example to your staff and motivate them to strive hard to reach targets.

    I worked at Scotiabank as a contractor (more than a year)

    Pros

    Great managers that are easy to interact with on and one on one level. Warm corporate culture. Would definitely recommended as a career job.

    Cons

    Salary is not the highest but fair enough. I started as a contract so there was no benefits at the time but full time benefit is comprehensive

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Continue the great support, leadership and teamwork. Keep the company corporate culture strong and scotiabank will definitely out compete its competitors.
