I have been working at Senior Helpers full-time for less than a year

    Pros

hands on with clients in need of physical and mental assistant needs. Working in the health care field, the abilities to grow and gain knowledgeable learning as CNA responsibilities, and duties. Patient care is number one priority in the ability to keep them in their own homes for as long as it is possible. The benefits are reasonable.

    Cons

The various working hours and fill in schedules you maybe called in to fill a position for the day your scheduled off. Some hours are extended and requires me to find last moment notice for baby sitters.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Over all they are a great and professional company to work for who cares about and devoted to making their clients needs top priority and providing them with necessary equipment and staffing to maintaint he needs for long-term care of the elder and disabled clients.

    Pros

Flexible hours, they try to give you clients that are close to where you live, they have a 24 hour call center if you have to call about an emergency after hours. I love my clients and it has been the best experience to care for them.

    Cons

No room for job growth and most of the positions are part-time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I would like to see some more training. I've done only one packet in six months.

I have been working at Senior Helpers full-time

    Pros

While they take advantage of desperate people, if your desperate enough, anything is better then nothing.

    Cons

You have to be willing to leave your moral values at the door when working with this company. They are out for profit at any cost. Government fraud, lying, and taking advantage of the elderly is not beneath them. The only thing they care less about then the client is the employee. Denying pay for hours worked is a regular practice and there is no standard procedure for grievances except to quite. There is no HR.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get some organization and communication skills and stop lying to CEO to cover your shortcomings or you will spiral this business into bankruptcy.

    Pros

I have been working at Senior Helpers full-time for more than a year

    Pros

9-5 job, so no work to bring home. Good to earn office experience or for someone who likes a solid, quiet job. Candidate needs to multitask (which should be a given) and to keep a cool demeanor in all situations. Worthwhile industry.

    Cons

No room for job growth - small company, so it's good for gaining work experience or because you just want a 9-5pm and nothing else. You are ineligible for overtime pay and the pay isn't great - senior health care isn't a big money maker, so not too much trickles down to the employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Create opportunities for job growth, and invest in your employees so they will want to stay. Communicate clearly - don't be vague - and follow through.
