    Pros

    Office culture was great and leadership was inspiring.

    Cons

    Computer system for management was not user friendly and really time consuming compared to other Mgmt software in the industry.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    As a new employee in was intimidating to understand who was there for your properties A nice introduction sheet with a conference team call would have been nice.

    I have been working at Sentry Management full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    Well organized and structured. Department heads are very experienced, knowledgeable, and helpful. Technology and systems used are advanced in the industry, and constantly being improved upon. Generally flexible with regards to scheduling, days off, vacation, etc. Decent benefits package.

    Cons

    No formal training - even for 'green' employees. Little room for advancement, depending on position held. Employee morale can be low at times - though company is visibly working on making morale better.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Invest as much in the overall happiness of your employees, as is invested in happiness of clients. Upper management should make regular visits to division offices and spend time with office staff - the feeling of connection to the corporate office will go very far.

    Current Employee - Bookkeeper in Longwood, FL

    I have been working at Sentry Management full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    Great entry-level positions to gain experience in various fields;
    Mostly friendly environment;
    Growing company;
    Minimal requirements for Accounting positions;
    Technically competent management

    Cons

    Little room for advancement;
    Uncompetitive pay rates compared to other similar employers (probably due to low entry requirements);
    Often uninspired or unmotivated workforce due to uncompetitive rates

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Upper management needs decide whether the company seeks to be a high-quality firm seeking high-quality clientele and pay the extra money for high-quality employees or whether it seeks to be a moderate-to-low-quality firm that serves that quality of clientele while paying those types of rates to similar employees. Seeking to be a high-quality firm with similar clientele is not sustainable while employing their current employees at their current rates. Pay more to and demand more of your employees or risk your high-end clients receiving disappointing service.
