I have been working at ServiceSource full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Very young and high-energy work environment. Usually promotes within. Uncapped bonuses. Great 'teamwork' type of business. Perks outside of paychecks based on team performance. Job security.

    Cons

Not flexible with time-off. Quota can be raised mid-quarter. Favoritism can be prevalent. Base salaries should be higher. Choices of who they choose as managers aren't always agreeable.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't base promotion choices necessarily on the amount of time someone has been there. Base it off of their qtr-to-qtr performance and work ethic. Numbers speak for themselves.

    Pros

Fun environment, mixed crowd and ability to move up. Some good managers that allow freedom to get your job done and be successful. Challenging teams depending on where you are placed.

    Cons

Stock price and happiness is dependent on management, some young new managers that micro manage and not sure how to work with people to make a successful team.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Some management is too control. loosen the chains and results could be much greater, more positive attitude.

I have been working at ServiceSource full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Relaxed working environment, you can leave work at work when you're done for the day, there are frequent opportunities to advance your career via training, etc.

    Cons

Pay is still lacking- they intentionally work through temp agencies and delay converting those people to direct hires in order to keep overhead low. Focusing on recent college grads also keeps the costs down because as a recent grad, the impending debt repayment coerces someone into taking the job for highly mediocre pay. Raises are few and far between; promotion tracks aren't clearly defined; leadership can be weak; the company doesn't focus on hiring good workers, only cheap workers; etc.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work on hiring GOOD employees, not cheap employees. Encourage the promotion of people that excel in their position instead of passing them by in favor of less qualified, but more vocal employees- work to find the right choice, stop being lazy!
