Not bad, but could be better

Operations Services Senior Specialist (Current Employee)
    Nashville, TN

ProsRelaxed working environment, you can leave work at work when you're done for the day, there are frequent opportunities to advance your career via training, etc.

ConsPay is still lacking- they intentionally work through temp agencies and delay converting those people to direct hires in order to keep overhead low. Focusing on recent college grads also keeps the costs down because as a recent grad, the impending debt repayment coerces someone into taking the job for highly mediocre pay. Raises are few and far between; promotion tracks aren't clearly defined; leadership can be weak; the company doesn't focus on hiring good workers, only cheap workers; etc.

Advice to Senior ManagementWork on hiring GOOD employees, not cheap employees. Encourage the promotion of people that excel in their position instead of passing them by in favor of less qualified, but more vocal employees- work to find the right choice, stop being lazy!

Good for inital career growth, bad for management, get stuck at certain level

Laid back work environment. Good job for recent grads.

    Inside Sales Representative (Current Employee)
    Denver, CO

ProsYoung environment. Lots of flexibility on hours. Decent bonuses

ConsWay too much micro-management. SREV preaches being your own boss, but calls are closely monitored several times daily and there are too many meetings and updates about your territory required by management.

Advice to Senior ManagementIf employee's are succeeding, let them keep doing what they're doing. No need to try to fix what isn't broken.

    Great place to work.

    Senior Sales Representative (Current Employee)
    Nashville, TN

ProsFun work environment, professional development opportunities, great place to grow your career. Upper management is good about listening to employees. They work hard to create a social environment.

ConsManagers tend to micromanage. Very high expectations of all employees. This is not a job where you can just "coast by".

    Great people, great environment

    Business Analyst (Current Employee)
    San Francisco, CA

ProsServicesource is a fast-growing company that has a young environment of bright individuals. Management keeps things casual which contributes to the happiness of its employees.

ConsMost people find few opportunities to move into higher positions of management which makes it difficult to forecast a 5 or 10-year career path. Base-level positions offer salaries that are not in line with the salaries offered by competitors.

Advice to Senior ManagementProvide more opportunities to move up and excel.

Great place to receive sales/sales manager training and experience

    Team Lead (Former Employee)
    Nashville, TN

Pros- Very fair pay for entry-level position
    - Fun/casual work atmosphere
    - Good sales training program

Cons- There is a pretty big disconnection from lower/mid-management to the executives.

Advice to Senior ManagementTo lower/mid management: Keep up the great work. I really felt like you all had the best interest of your workers at heart.

To the executives: Don't just pretend that you are interested in the daily lives/activities of the reps and support staff, actually get your hands dirty!

Great first job to learn the ropes, not a huge amount of room for career growth.

    Data Analyst (Current Employee)
    Nashville, TN

ProsVery easy-going workplace as it is a very young company (average employee age is between 25 and 29).
    Great job out of college.
If you are in customer service the bonus structure can be very rewarding (2 k- 3k quarterly bonuses).
If you are in IT it is a great place to learn the ropes. They are very tolerant of ignorance and if you are a self starter they give you all the time in the world to teach yourself.

Overall I would say that it is worth working here for a year or two if you don't have any other options or aren't attempting to break into a particular career. There is the small possibility of promotion and the pay is enough to live on.

ConsSince the company is experiencing rapid growth the organizational structure is currently experiencing a lot of change. You have to be ok with some grey areas.
Most of the jobs here don't have a huge amount of opportunity for career growth. It is not that it is non-existent, you just won't be selected unless you are the best of the best. It really depends on which team you get placed in and if management likes you.
For all the benefits that come with being a young company, it is also a young company, which comes with its downsides. A large portion of the employees underneath upper management are either inexperienced or incompetent.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe IT department here is not organized well at all and there is no structure in place to help those working under it to improve themselves or their team. There needs to be more checks and balances to make sure quality work is being done across teams and that DA's aren't just hiding their bad work and practices from being improved.
