I have been working at Sherwin-Williams part-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Great employees, fast paced environment, competitive pay, and people who are willing to learn AND teach their experience/knowledge.

    Cons

Unrealistic expectations from customers, sometimes miscommunication causes issues, and tight schedules make vacations hard to plan.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I can't really think of anything besides continue working with the employee base and please don't stop hiring the people you do. Each of them is great to work for.

    I worked at Sherwin-Williams

    Pros

I started my professional career with Sherwin Williams and didn't realize at the time what a great employer it was. I have since not been able to match the culture there.

    Cons

The only negative was the busy season, sometimes long hours and long work weeks, but this is to be expected within manufacturing.

I have been working at Sherwin-Williams full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

You get to learn everything. You get to see how a business is ran and you can later apply it to almost everything that you do.

    Cons

Honestly, I don't have anything to say about in the cons section. Maybe it's the fact that you work a little bit more in terms of hours. 44-48 depending on full-time title.

I have been working at Sherwin-Williams full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Great leadership. This company wants you to move up!! They have great benefits and bonuses as well. You really get to know your fellow employees and make great relationships with customers. They also pay very well.

    Cons

There are very few. Keep in mind that this is a paint store and depending on where you live, the winter crowd is very low. At my store I probably see only one person come in after 6 PM and most of the time they are just looking at color samples. I guess somewhere in my district they must be making a good amount of money to justify staying open until 8 PM.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You should close at 6:30 PM in states that get a lot of cold weather. I have worked at several of you stores, from high end money makers to low end and out of all of them, still only probably one person will come in after 6 PM. It is costing more money to pay the employee to stay there and pay the electric bill.
