    Pros

    To get a foot into the gaming and/or manufacturing industry. Cut your teeth and then bail.

    Cons

    Extreme cronyism, lack of respect unless you are in the Ivory Tower, thouroughly mismanaged and fiscally irresponsible. The arrogance and complaceny levels of upper management are quite hard to fathom, especially in this economic environment. These actions have been going on for a while without any sign of letting up.

    Advice to Management

    Wake up and listen to the new board member that was recently brought onboard. Even though it may be too late, try to be more open with employees and customers.

    I worked at Shuffle Master full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Not many. Benefits are ok.

    Cons

    Most of the employees are old school. Unprofessional and uneducated. There are even people who were arrested that still work there. Looks like we may even have a pedophile or two working there as well.

    Advice to Management

    Hire people who can advance the company.

    Pros

    Middle management and below are a close knit group of people who have a common goal in mind, and will reach out to help each other to achieve desired objectives.

    Cons

    Inner circle who only promote their favourite personnel. Very Political. Promotions are not based on achievements. Culture shift wont occur until Management is revamped and those that have been with the company more than 10 years are cut loose. Majority of management have limited experince in working in other companies so they don't know how to think outside the box. Always playing catchup on new technologies.

    Advice to Management

    Management are too arrogant to recieve advice so this advice is to the Board of Directors. Clean house if you want Shuffle Master to be the most innovative Table Game Company in the world.
