I worked at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Wonderful HR partners, benefits and cafeteria. There were plenty of morale boosting activities. Lots of nice people.

    Cons

As with most every organization, there were politics to contend with. Not much opportunity for advancement. I had great relationships with many people in many different departments. They've since released some of the leaders and it seems the staff morale is improving. Very much a physician controlled culture.

    Advice to Management

My way or the high way doesn't get you very far.

    Pros

Nice people, free parking, not much else to say about this place but it was a decent place to work for.

    Cons

Low pay compared to the general market, too much conflict and politics, trying to get people to make a decision was painful at times.

    Advice to Management

Pay according to the market as a whole and work on resolving the nit picking that goes on way too much.

    Pros

Good pay. Good benefits. The department was being renovated and looks beautiful. Good activities for employees.

    Cons

Favoritism. Management not knowing what it was doing. Two managers fired in three years. Prickly personalities of coworkers. People unfairly promoted. I was a patient there and was treated badly.
