I worked at Singtel full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – Work location is in Orchard Road. So its accessible by MRT and also buses.
It's easy to get a Manager's position here - just with a few years of work experience.
Cons – Extremely long work hours.
Bureaucracy as the place is still managed like the good old days of Singapore Telecoms.
Vicious Politics with Management supporting an ultra competitive and cut-throat environment.
Lots of Foreign Talent - some working as peers to you but with qualifications and background which does not commensurate to the local standards of education and employment experience.
Advice to Senior Management – embrace the reality that SingTel's first customer is their employees. Take care of employees and the business will take care of itself.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

I worked at Singtel
Pros – No comments. None at all.
Cons – 1. Rigid upper management. 1 means 1. No other way about it.
2. There is always a chance of an employee voicing out. This has been categorised as 'defensive'. 3. People are unfriendly.
4. Bullies the older employees (many who have served more than 20 years with the company).
5. Allows movement within different sectors e.g. if you are director of finance, you can move to operations as director also. So most of the time, the director does not know anything and it is very frustrating.
6. Salary is pathetic.
Advice to Senior Management – Listen to your employees. Not everyone is out to get you. They try their best. For those employees who have been with SingTel for many many years, trust them. I know of many who have left or 'forced' to go.

I worked at Singtel full-time for less than a year
Pros – - corporate rates for staff plans
- employee purchase
- variable bonus payouts
- centralized location
Cons – - long working hours
- lack of work/life balance
- unrealistic deadlines
- corporate red tape
- "old school" mentality/hard to drive change
- low basic salary (to compensate for VB component)
Advice to Senior Management – - Pointless to listen to voice of workforce when changes are not taking place
- Look into employee retention policies so that talent can be retained
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

I worked at Singtel
Pros – - Fairly good Bonus
- Free mobile phone & line
- Staff prices for Singtel products
Cons – Mostly contract-based jobs which can last the whole lifetime when you are working there.
Not much benefits compared to permanent staffs. Unknown career path. CEO too business minded to care about employees. Contract can be ended anytime with little notice & even you have been doing well in your job.
Advice to Senior Management – Don't be greedy. take care of your contract staffs. and wipe off that Stupid face you put on everyday.
